After reading the reviews about this hotel we weren’t sure what to expect. We were really pleasantly surprised, the hotel was clean, in a good location, and had a nice heated pool. We had a regular room with 2 beds, the beds are very comfortable with a choice of four pillows per bed. There is a gym which has basic equipment, you need to walk through the gym to access the pool which had a nice pool deck. We did not try the restaurant attached to the hotel because of the reviews we read! While expensive to stay here, it was a nice stay.

“Not fancy but met the need”

Typical Holiday Inn. Basic services, clean and Vannit at front desk was great. Free parking, close proximity to Victoria and restaurants close by. The first room we were booked into had some damage so asked to move. Second room was fine. Thanks.

We stayed over a very busy weekend which we already anticipated, and while most of the staff were excellent, our experience checking in was unfortunately tainted by one staff member – Yukti. When my friend and I arrived to check in, his room wasn’t ready. Yukti, who was handling our check-in, was noticeably rude, unwelcoming, and dismissive. She told us she would call when the room was ready, so we left the hotel to wait. After a few hours (it was getting late), we returned to find a different receptionist at the front desk – who was kind, professional, and helpful – only to be told that the room had in fact been ready for some time. We uncovered that Yukti had finished her shift without ever informing us or her colleagues, leaving us unnecessarily waiting with young kids after a long day of travel. To be clear, every other interaction we had with the front desk staff during our stay was excellent – they were friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. It’s unfortunate that one person’s lack of professionalism stood in such stark contrast to the otherwise great service at this hotel. Hopefully, this was a one-off, but it certainly impacted our experience.
