We hosted our 10th annual company retreat at the Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. From the planning stages, Rob and Shannon were phenomenal to work with. They were responsive, answered every question we had, and made our event planners feel confident that everything would be taken care of before we even arrived. Shannon even made a point of coming down to greet us on arrival and check in with us on the first day of meetings—a small gesture that spoke volumes about the level of service we received. Check-in for our group was incredibly well organized. The team had all 34 rooms ready ahead of the standard check-in time and brought in additional front desk staff so our entire group was checked in within about 20 minutes. It made for such a smooth start to the retreat. Throughout our meetings, the catering was exceptional and the conference staff were always one step ahead. They handled a few last-minute changes to our schedule without missing a beat, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Hosting a corporate event for a large group comes with a lot of moving pieces, but the team at the Westin made it feel effortless. They consistently delivered on what they promised, allowing our organizers to focus on our team instead of the logistics. We wouldn't hesitate to host another event here.

The Westin Resort and Spa Whistler is the best property in Canada! The property is perfectly suited in the Whistler village and looks majestic with the incredible backdrop of the surrounding mountains. The inside of the hotel is equally impressive with a quaint mountain lodge feel. The rooms are well laid out with all the amenities one could want. The restaurant Grill and Vine is excellent for both dinner and breakfast which are the meals we had there. What truly makes this property uniquely special though is the entire team. The team is lead by the GM Mr. Bitcon, Resort Manager Mr. Weichinger, and Director of Rooms, Mr. Misquitta. These three leaders make up one of the best hotel management teams across the entire hospitality industry. We have stayed at over 200 hundred luxury resorts and this team is truly remarkable and top notch. Mr. Bitcon was very helpful not only with the stay at his property but kindly even unsolicited graciously helped with the hotel stay before the Westin which was quite kind of him. Mr. Weichinger joined from one of the top hotel brands in the world and is very thoughtful and helped make our stay extra special. Mr. Misquitta is one of our all time Marriott associates ever from the thousands we have met over the years. He is genuine, classy, very helpful, and the most pro-active management team member we have ever encountered at Marriott. From weeks and days before the trip, the day traveling to the hotel, and every day while at the hotel from morning to night, Mr. Misquetta has gone above and beyond to ensure that we are having a great experience. The rest of the team from Rahul and Tayler at the front desk, the restaurant team, the valets, and the housekeepers all provided a very high level of services. It honestly feels like you are staying at a Ritz Carlton and this property in my opinion should be rebranded as one with the fantastic property, the extremely high caliber leadership team, and the rest of the incredible team working seamlessly together. Anyone traveling to Canada and especially to Whistler would regret not staying at this impeccable property as it has been one of our all time favorite stays out of 2000 nights staying at hotels.

“Great location”

Excellent hotel surrounded by plenty of shops offering a wide variety of things to explore. The rooms were very clean, and the breakfasts were very good. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

“Bad smell in room”

Arrived here after a 6.5 hour drive. Was excited to relax in our room. Upon arrival, there was a damp smell in the room. I called down to reception and was told they would send someone up. The gentleman brought up an ozone generator. He said he would return in an hour. He did not advise us that we … more

Arrived here after a 6.5 hour drive. Was excited to relax in our room. Upon arrival, there was a damp smell in the room. I called down to reception and was told they would send someone up. The gentleman brought up an ozone generator. He said he would return in an hour. He did not advise us that we had to leave the room. We left the room and returned after 75 minutes to be greeted with a different smell. A very disappointing start to our vacation. Did I complain again to the front desk - no. Had not the energy. Would not stay here again.
