Stayed in one of the renovated condo suites located in the adjacent building, which is connected to the main hotel by an indoor corridor. Some previous guests mentioned feeling disconnected from the main hotel because of the separate building, but I didn't find this to be an issue at all and it had no impact on the quality of my stay. The building is shared with permanent residents, and the elevators are used by both residents and hotel guests. On my floor there was a mix of residential and hotel units. The hallway had a lingering cigarette smell, but fortunately the odour did not carry into the suite itself. The room was clean, modern, and exactly as pictured. It was quiet throughout my 4-night stay with no noise disturbances. When I needed a remote battery replaced and the shampoo refilled, both requests were handled very quickly. I also appreciated the pleasantly fragrant toiletries and the excellent water pressure from the shower panel. The suite had plenty of light fixtures, although they were on the dim side, making the room feel a little dark. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of both Guy-Concordia (Green Line) and Lucien-L'Allier (Orange Line) metro stations, and Bus 150 stops directly across from the hotel. One nice amenity is the water bottle filling station in the main lobby, although it is a bit of a walk from the condo suites if you prefer refilling your bottle rather than drinking tap water. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.

Lasty evening our group of 25 had dinner at Novella Ristorante in the Le Nouvel Hotel in Centre-ville Montréal Downtown. Our waitress, yes, one waitress, Clementine, managed all of our orders, including drinks. She did an awesome job! Next, a BIG shoutout to the chef, NIVESH, who managed to whip out 25 different and delicious dishes in record time. We were all impressed by the service and food! We would like to express our sincere thanks to Barbara, Lucie, Nohora and Luis; the front desk staff who filled our week with warm greetings each morning, excellent directions as we navigated the green and orange Metro lines to our destinations and filled our exchanges with laughter. If you are looking for a central location to explore Montreal, an on site restaurant with good food and service and a staff who will welcome you and make your visit to Montreal memorable; I would highly recommend Le Nouvel Hotel.

“Concert home base”

I'm rating this hotel 4 stars because it gave me exactly what I needed, which was an easy place to stay for 1 night when I visited Montreal for a music festival with my daughter. If you are coming in from the West, the hotel is easier to access (and cheaper) then hotels that are more east/central. It's only a short walk to the Guy-Concordia metro stop, which is only 23 minutes from Parc Jean-Drapeau (you change metro lines once). The price was generally better than most other hotels on the Island/in the core. There was no problems checking in at 11:30 pm or storing our luggage until then. And the Concordia area has lots of restaurants to eat at so it makes a good home base. The bathroom was modern and the bed was nice. All in all, it's not 4 star luxury but everything went so well I have to give it 4 stars - for a 1 night concert stay!
