When we checked in we were met with friendly staff, and the process was quick. We had stayed at this hotel 3 years ago for a baseball tournament and stayed here again this weekend for the same tournament. The hotel was clean and tidy everywhere, from the main entrance to our room. Nothing seemed out of place. In our room the AC was ice cold, the room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. We didn’t hear any hallway noise. On our first morning there, at 8am the hotel cleaning crew were busy wiping down the stainless steel at the main level elevator station. That should give you an idea of their attention to detail. I looked in at the pool at the same time and full rack of towels was waiting for the first guest of the day. The night before there was a few still out at 10:30pm. Our son said the weight room was great and had all that he needed. The free breakfast was good with lots of variety with plenty of inside seating. It was food you would expect for free breakfast. There was an outside patio space with lots of tables with chairs and padded bench seating. There was a fire table and 2 bbqs as well. The area was used by our team and ohers in the evening for social time. We also had a BBQ lunch for the kids and family members for our team. They had two Weber BBQs, unfortunately one was not working but the other did the job. Had another group wanted to grill at the same time it might have been awkward but that wasn’t the case. We would stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

“Very helpful staff!”

Great suite and very friendly and helpful staff. Expedia messed up our reservation but reception fixed the issue and matched the price we paid.. Also, in the morning we were la bit late for breakfast but staff rustled up something for us. Thanks!

Can't say enough about the excellent, caring service at Home2Suites Brantford! Thanks, dear Marilyn and Sangeeta, for making our stay extra special. My mom's face was filled with joy when she saw the balloons, treats and card you placed in our room for her 98th birthday celebration! The rooms and lobby are super clean, the breakfast fantastic, the pool and gym wonderful. All in all, a wonderful stay!

“Beautiful hotel but not willing to accommodate late check outs despite low occupancy”

This was a beautiful hotel in a perfect location for my daughter’s hockey tournament in Brantford. I loved the room , the breakfast was great and I was pleased there was always hot coffee available. I liked the location with surrounding restaurants , close proximity to the highway and near the Wayne Gretzky arena. Unfortunately the downfall was the way my late checkout request was handled - I explained that I had a long gap before my child’s evening game (tournaments are unpredictable ) , we had been up since 5:30am for an early game and had another game at 6pm ! I only asked to stay until 1-2 pm just so we didn’t have to sit in the car for several hours. I was told that my room “was booked” and that only a 30-minute late checkout was possible. However, when I checked online, the same room type was still available. I am also a Hilton Honors member, and the program clearly states that late checkout is offered when available. Given that availability still showed online, this made the refusal even more frustrating. What was most frustrating is that when I asked to extend my stay for another night, it was approved immediately. That makes it very hard to accept the explanation that the hotel needed my exact room. If the hotel truly could not accommodate a longer checkout because of availability, extending the stay should not have been possible without a room change. This came across as inflexible and inconsistent, and it felt like the only way to get reasonable flexibility was to pay for an extra night rather than being reasonably accommodated for 2-3 hours. Also to note the hotel was empty at 4pm when we left. And looking online all room types are available . This was a busy tournament weekend , so I would expect housekeeping would not be turning over all the rooms anyway so why so inflexible ? Despite this I would stay here again as the hotel is beautiful , keeping in mind this hotel is not willing to accommodate late check outs despite low occupancy on a Sunday night !!
