Comfort Inn & Suites Carleton Place

“A nice new hotel in Carleton Place”

Travelling on business and this hotel had all that I needed. Friendly staff, clean and modern. Close to the main highway but not too close - it was quiet. Nice king bed and breakfast was included.

Staffs are friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a typical free breakfast and nothing special. The drainage while taking shower was slow.

“More pros than cons”

This hotel seemed quite new and as such had very clean rooms and furnishings. The breakfast was good and the staff was helpful . Lots of parking space and a quiet environment . This hotel seemed quite new and as such had very clean rooms and furnishings. The breakfast was good and the staff was helpful . Lots of parking space and a quiet environment . We personally prefer that at least one window opens in the bed room but no luck there ! My major complaint was having to pay a $ 200 damage deposit upon check-in which was not advertised on the websites .( some senior guests don't have tons of extra cash lol ) Since we were attending a wedding , we needed the rooms available to get dressed ect but the staff was not anxious to let some guests check in before the "magic 3 :00 pm check in time ....not helpful at all )

“Decent for couples, but families stay away”

Hotel is new, but rooms already have a tinge of “old motel” smell. Still, everything was clean, beds were comfortable, but pillows left a bit to be desired. It’s conveniently located and parking is easy. Walls are thin and you can hear adjacent rooms clearly. This is where the problem began. We made a reservation, being explicit that we were bringing a newborn and hoped for a quiet room. The hotel put us right next to the meeting room that was booked for wedding hair & makeup. It began at 7am with loud music that woke up our newborn. When we complained to the desk they claimed they had no idea we had a baby (we had called ahead, inquired at check in, and checked in with a baby in our arms). The front desk was defensive and unapologetic, claiming they had no control over what folks did in the meeting room. If coming as a couple where you can wear earplugs, this is a perfectly fine hotel. But with small children I’d stay somewhere else.
