Hotels was perfect as it was beside where the convention was to be held. The room was booked with a convention rate. When we checked in we changed our departure date with no problem at all. However when we checked out they decided to up our room rate without even telling us. When we questioned the higher room rate they said it was because we shortened our stay. NO ONE told us this when we spoke with the front desk at check in and made the change. Very bad customer service. This was a very enjoyable stay until this happened. Breakfast is included and was fresh and warm. Hotel was clean. There is an indoor pool for your use.

“Close to airport”

Normal Hampton inn experience. Works for a shorter stay. Clean room. Front desk was helpful. Located close to plenty of food options. Within 5 minutes of the airport.

Make sure you check the hours of the airport shuttle if that is one of the amenities you specifically need. When we checked in I told the front desk agent that my Mum would need the shuttle after her flight arrived at midnight. He told me that she would need to call the hotel after she had collected her luggage for the shuttle. Made sense, and is pretty standard. I made sure that she would be able to pick up a room key, again stating that she would be arriving at the hotel after midnight. It was confirmed that she could pick one up at the desk when she arrived. Unfortunately, when she called for the shuttle they informed her that the shuttle stops at 11pm and she would have to take a taxi. The front desk agent then told her that I had never mentioned the time she would be arriving when she questioned him about what was told to me at check in. I understand that miscommunication happens; however, having worked in the same position, it is unacceptable to infer that a guest is lying. The second issue we had was in the pool area. After drying off with the provided towels I noticed an ant crawling on me. I then looked around and noticed many ants on the furniture, floors and towels. As this is an indoor pool, and there is still snow on the ground, this was surprising and gross. The breakfast was good and the dining room was clean, with multiple staff ensuring everything was fresh and clean. The room was very quiet and clean. We backed onto the elevator and heard no noise at all.

“Hotel is nice if there aren't bus loads of kids staying there”

We had the unfortunate experience of staying a night at this hotel when there were at least 5 bus loads of kids also staying. Luckily we had a room that was fairly quiet for the night. The bed was comfortable but the A/C seems to shut down at night & it got very hot in the room despite being set for 70 degrees. When we went to breakfast it was initially quiet with a few couples at tables & within a short time hundreds of kids piled into the room. They were yelling, cell phones blasting, sitting on tables & on the floor & generally overwhelming the very hard working breakfast staff. I have to give a 10/10 to the breakfast staff who worked very hard to just move around & keep items stocked. There was a table of 4 adults that were with the group but they seemed to be more interested in visiting & drinking coffee than supervising the kids. There were dozens of pieces of luggage on the floor in the breakfast room & eventually one of the adults told the kids to take them to the lobby. Then the lobby was piled with luggage to try & navigate around. I spoke to the fellow at the front desk about the noise & disruption in the breakfast room & got "sorry" as the response. I suppose these groups are what pays the bills for the hotel rather than a single or couple guests. It seems the hotel doesn't care about the comfort & experience for the few guests who stay there preferring to cater to these large bus loads of kids at the other guests expense. A Hilton hotel is usually a quality brand. Should they continue to not care about the guest experience is won't be brand that will not be quality for long.
