We really liked this hotel and would stay here again. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable; the staff was friendly and helpful; the barbecues were convenient; the free breakfast was good; and it is in a good location in a nice area. We drove downtown to go to various museums each day, and it only took about 15-20 minutes to get anywhere from this hotel. Also, the pillows are amazing and fluffy! The one complaint I can offer for this hotel is that if you want to cook actual meals in your room, the equipment and utensils they give you is very limited. I personally found it difficult to cook with so little to work with. Rooms probably vary, but this is what was in our room: 2 pots with lids and a metal frying pan A microwave safe tray, bowl, and container 2 large cutting knives and 1 small one, all extremely dull 1 old can opener which barely worked 1 slotted serving spoon and 1 plastic spatula A two-slice toaster and a small coffee maker There was no kettle, no strainer of any kind, no large bowls, no non-slotted spoon or ladle, no metal spatulas for the barbecue, no tongs, no spaghetti fork (this made it hard to cook fettuccine!). I managed alright, but it would have been nicer with a few more utensils available. I am sharing this so others know what to bring. Also note the stovetop is very small, only two smallish burners close together, so large pots would not fit there. It did work well though, as did the microwave. Lastly, the room did have a hair dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board. We had the room with 2 queen beds, and there were also 2 large tvs, and a desk with several plugs where you could use a laptop or charge devices.

I stayed 2 weeks at Homewood Suites near Ottawa Airport. I chose it as it had the best reviews of any properties in the area and after consulting with my work colleagues who highly recommended it. My suite as on the highest floor at the end of the hallway, overlooking the front parking lot. In 2 weeks, I never heard neighbors through the walls or from the hallway. What I liked: - Large room with 2 options for seating (at desk/table or couch) - Very comfortable bed - Very quiet - Efficient air conditioning - Breakfast room: variety of good options and nice seating - Excellent gym To improve: - I used a streaming stick into the TV to access my subscribed streaming services. It would be nice upgrade if they upgraded the TV to a "Smart" type where you could access your services without having to plug in an external device. - If you are staying as a couple, the bathroom sink is not enclosed in the bathroom, thus if you want to use the sink you will likely disturb anyone sleeping just beside. Note: I had my bicycle with me and the hotel staff kindly kept it in a storage room during my stay.

Few flows that create inconveniences, but it is OK: - BATH CABIN does NOT have a spout (so you can not wash just the feet only). We also brought anti-slippery mat, which was helpful (especially for little kids) - windows curtains are fixed to the upper rails and not movable, so we used pants hanger clips (from the closet) to pull curtains together to minimize day light exposure - BATHROOM DOES NOT HAVE an exhaust fan (so behave accordingly :)) - "powder" room has no separation wall from the rest of living space, so lights might disturb people sleeping on a Main (KING size) bed. - there are absolutely NO USB slots in the room (bring your own adapters) - EXTENDED SOFA BED has built-in (thick enough and comfortable) mattress pad, bed sheet and blanket. Additional blankets are available. Bring you OWN PILLOWS if you need low rise soft ones. Sofa bed can accommodate two more adults. SOFA BED SIZE 56 x 68 inches. - KITCHEN - fridge + freezer are of a standard regular size. The rest is on the pictures - please take a look - DOLLARAMA is nearby - BREAKFAST was adequate with no line ups. Enough to get charged for the day ahead. There are some items that suit DIABETIC customers, which are very healthy too. - GYM / SMIWWING POOL / LAUNDRY - please look at the pictures - there is enough PARKING for all the residents. 20 room per floor x 5 floors. See pictures - ODD numbered ROOMs are facing residential area, EVEN ones - parking. We asked the reception to give us the rooms as far at the end of the corridor as possible - it worked - see rooms floor diagram. Although the rooms entrance door locks are VERY NOISY, no matter how hard you try to close the doors softly. - we brought our own IP TV box and were able to connect it easily with the guidance of an hotel TV provider rep over the phone. All you need is your device MAC address. Toll free number was on the room's card. Very nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. PAID $950 for 4 days stay in MAY 2026, family of 2 adults and 2 kids.
