We really liked this hotel and would stay here again. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable; the staff was friendly and helpful; the barbecues were convenient; the free breakfast was good; and it is in a good location in a nice area. We drove downtown to go to various museums each day, and it only took about 15-20 minutes to get anywhere from this hotel. Also, the pillows are amazing and fluffy! The one complaint I can offer for this hotel is that if you want to cook actual meals in your room, the equipment and utensils they give you is very limited. I personally found it difficult to cook with so little to work with. Rooms probably vary, but this is what was in our room: 2 pots with lids and a metal frying pan A microwave safe tray, bowl, and container 2 large cutting knives and 1 small one, all extremely dull 1 old can opener which barely worked 1 slotted serving spoon and 1 plastic spatula A two-slice toaster and a small coffee maker There was no kettle, no strainer of any kind, no large bowls, no non-slotted spoon or ladle, no metal spatulas for the barbecue, no tongs, no spaghetti fork (this made it hard to cook fettuccine!). I managed alright, but it would have been nicer with a few more utensils available. I am sharing this so others know what to bring. Also note the stovetop is very small, only two smallish burners close together, so large pots would not fit there. It did work well though, as did the microwave. Lastly, the room did have a hair dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board. We had the room with 2 queen beds, and there were also 2 large tvs, and a desk with several plugs where you could use a laptop or charge devices.

I stayed 2 weeks at Homewood Suites near Ottawa Airport. I chose it as it had the best reviews of any properties in the area and after consulting with my work colleagues who highly recommended it. My suite as on the highest floor at the end of the hallway, overlooking the front parking lot. In 2 weeks, I never heard neighbors through the walls or from the hallway. What I liked: - Large room with 2 options for seating (at desk/table or couch) - Very comfortable bed - Very quiet - Efficient air conditioning - Breakfast room: variety of good options and nice seating - Excellent gym To improve: - I used a streaming stick into the TV to access my subscribed streaming services. It would be nice upgrade if they upgraded the TV to a "Smart" type where you could access your services without having to plug in an external device. - If you are staying as a couple, the bathroom sink is not enclosed in the bathroom, thus if you want to use the sink you will likely disturb anyone sleeping just beside. Note: I had my bicycle with me and the hotel staff kindly kept it in a storage room during my stay.

Perfect hotel for families. Greeted by friendly desk agents after selecting our room on the app, so checking in was a breeze. The 2 queen 1 bedroom suite was the perfect size for our family with 2 teens. Having the kitchen and living area was great for times when we all wanted to hang out as well as space when we didn’t. The hotel is very clean, pool area is restocked every day, and when towels run out there they bring them rapidly when asked for more. Gym is fine for light work outs with various cardio and weight equipment. Housekeeping staff were very pleasant and very attentive. We only needed new towels and garbage removal every 2 days, and they were respectful of that request. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, with waffles every second day. The staff there were so lovely! Also extremely attentive. The location for us was ideal. 20 minutes from most central attractions and close to many grocery stores to grab snacks and light meal fixings. Overall this hotel keeps the standard of the Hilton name.
