My first impression of Motel Adam wasn’t ideal. Upon arrival, I saw a bus loading passengers for some sort of tour. When I entered the reception area, a woman immediately approached me, speaking in French. I’m not sure if she was asking about the bus or something else, but I politely excused myself and proceeded to check in at the front desk. The check-in process was a bit confusing. The gentleman at the desk informed me that they don’t accept secured credit cards, which he referred to as "debit credit." After some back-and-forth, he said he would make an exception and charged $200 to my card—not a pre-authorization, but an actual charge. He also reminded me to ensure I get the amount back when I check out. However, when I checked out, the lady at the desk initially claimed it was just a pre-authorization. Instead of arguing, I simply handed her all the paperwork. She reviewed it, said nothing, and processed my refund without further comment. Although most of the property had been plowed, the area where my room was located in the back hadn’t been cleared. If the motel had been fully booked, there would only have been about 8 parking spots available for 12-14 rooms due to snowbanks. As it was, several vehicles parked awkwardly in the snow, and one parked along the hedge. On the positive side, the motel offers a good amount of privacy. My room was located far enough from the main entrance and surrounded by hedges, providing separation from the other buildings. I didn’t hear much traffic noise or see a lot of foot traffic, which was nice. I’m used to motels providing an ashtray outside the room or nearby. Unfortunately, Motel Adam didn’t have any, so I used an empty water bottle and filled it with snow. The cleaning staff didn’t seem to appreciate this DIY solution and disposed of it while I was out. When I returned, I made another snow-filled bottle, and I made sure to clean up after myself when checking out. The room itself was comfortable. The work table was spacious, and the computer chair was fantastic. However, the TV left something to be desired. The remote had three broken buttons—volume down, the guide button, and the number 4. At one point, I accidentally sat on the remote, causing the volume to blast unexpectedly. Thankfully, the mute button worked, and I didn’t touch the TV again. Overall, the room was cozy, with plenty of lighting and a comfortable bed. I slept surprisingly well, and the shower was hot, with an excellent anti-slip mat for safety. The coffee was great, though the coffee maker was comically small—it only made three cups at a time. The included breakfast was a mixed bag. While there was some variety, it felt a bit too carb-heavy for my taste. I ended up having yogurt and a hard-boiled egg, and then I felt ready to leave. Unfortunately, I won’t be staying here again, as my only credit card is a secured one. Unless they change their policy, I’ll be looking elsewhere for my next stay.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a decent experience, especially for the price. The room we had was on the first floor, which was very convenient because we could park right outside and just walk in, no long hallways or elevators! The room had what appeared to be new wood-type floors, though the fixtures definitely felt a bit dated, but they were functional. It was a bit dark inside, but the desk area was nice, and there were two large drawers for clothes. No microwave, but there was a refrigerator, which was handy. The bed was comfortable with a bedspread and blanket & sheet, no comforter like many hotels these days. Loved the bed lamps! The bathroom had a large counter and shelves, but there was nowhere to hang damp towels, which was kind of inconvenient. Hot water worked great, though. We used the laundry room located near the office and it was only $2 per load for both the washer and dryer, but there’s just one of each. Parking was easy, though the place gets busy with lots of tour buses coming and going which sometimes blocked the exit for a short time. Breakfast was minimal, just toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit, etc., and nothing hot. The small breakfast "buffet" space was quite small and got crowded but we usually found a place to sit and some people elected to sit outside in a patio area. It’s not a luxury stay, but we liked it as a good budget option.

The inside of this place is budget. The bed was very uncomfortable. Could use better lighting. The carpet was a dark brown and you could not walk on it without shoes because you could feel the dirtyness of it , not pleasant. It really could use a good steam cleaning. Breakfast was continental and ok nothing special. Gotta say The staff were great!, and the location very convenient to Costco, a supermarket and Walmart. All in all ok but would not stay there again.

“Just OK”

This is a "just OK" motel, nothing special. Service is good, staff very nice but it's pretty dated and needs upgrade, Breakfast bar is fabulous and nice eating area. This is a "just OK" motel, nothing special. Service is good, staff very nice but it's pretty dated and needs upgrade, Breakfast bar is fabulous and nice eating area. There is a second floor but NO ELEVATOR so be warned. Thr room was very adequate as we stayed only 1 night to attend a play at the Casino, but the beds were old. We found hairs in the bathroom and one used coffee pod. If you need a one-night stay and are budget conscious you can stay here but for us we will not go again. Even though the staff were very nice. Sorry.
