Stayed over Xmas in a club suite corner room with club access. Absolutely blown away by the ritz team. From check in to check out , this is 5 star. Quality of food is high, the rooms clean and beautiful, but the real distinction is the attention to detail from the ritz team. The club lounge is an utter delight: thank you to Max, and Julio for their good conversation and professionalism. A further special acknowledgment to Olga G who made our stay remarkable, as if we were part of the ritz family. We will miss you.. and we are already making plans to return next Xmas. Thank you ritz team : you are all super stars.

The Ritz-Carlton Toronto has an air of calmness. Despite hosting my friend's wedding, the lobby did not seem busy at all. The check-in process was quick and easy and I was quickly moved to my room, which I appreciated after my 15 hour flight. The design of the room itself was nothing special, but it was clean and spacious. That said, I must laud the cleaning staff for being so attentive to my needs. They noticed that my toothpaste was almost out and left a new tube next to my existing one without being asked. The amenties in the room were also terrific, though I might be biased as I use the exact same eau de parfum from Diptyque. Unfortunately while I was at the hotel, the swimming pool was being renovated, so I did not get a chance to use it. Overall, although The Ritz-Carlton is one of the pricier choices in Toronto, you can't go wrong if you want reliable and efficient service.

My impressions after staying here with my family for a long weekend: Pros: Great ambiance, nice dining options, very clean rooms with tasteful decor. The staff at the hotel are fabulous and set this hotel apart. Incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly. Very high quality hospitality and customer service. A special thanks to Gureen (I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) at the front desk for giving us the nicest, friendliest check-in experience ever. Cons: We unfortunately were very disappointed with our room and how different it was from what was advertised on the website. My family and I always book one bedroom suites so that my husband and I can have our own bedroom and the kids can sleep on the pullout bed in the living room. Every one bedroom suite that I’ve stayed in previously has had an actual door to create the separate bedroom. We expected that this was what we were getting when we booked a corner one bedroom suite at this hotel. The room description specified that there was a separate living room and even included a floor plan that made it seem like there were actually two different doors separating the bedroom from the living space. Unfortunately this was very misleading and there actually weren’t any doors/walls separating the “bedroom” from the living space, just a very small open space in front of the bathroom between the two. There wasn’t much more privacy than you’d get if you were in a regular two queen hotel room. This was a big disappointment, and we definitely wouldn’t have booked this room had it been accurately advertised. This was not at all the hotel staff’s fault, since I know that they’re not in charge of the website and booking system. They were still very apologetic and considerate about the situation, which we really appreciated. I absolutely would have given the hotel 5 stars had there not been this discrepancy with the room, but this was a major negative for us.
