Great central location, excellent restaurant and rooms with a view From the first moment arriving with our car when the team took care of luggage and parking and checking us in we had a great feeling. The concierge team Genevieve, Jean and Marjorie organised our activities and food experiences wonderfully and with so much charm and warmth. We had a special taster menu at the restaurant which was superb. Oliver the maitre d was amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks to the entire team!

This was a first class hotel. We absolutely loved it! From the heated bathroom floors to the exceptional service and outstanding concierge team it made our stay extra special. It is very close to the best things to do in Quebec City. There is a wonderful Maison Smith coffee shop just a few blocks away and the Buffet Antiquaire is a black or two away if you want an American style diner breakfast. Some hotels are simply a place to sleep. Others become part of the trip itself. Auberge Saint-Antoine was definitely the latter. We stayed here in July 2023 during a New England and Canada road trip with another couple. After visiting Newport, Bar Harbor, and before continuing on to Montreal, we arrived in Quebec City not knowing that one of the most memorable parts of our vacation was about to begin. The warm welcome started the moment we checked in. The receptionist smiled and asked, “Are you here for the music festival?” My friend and I looked at each other and replied, “What music festival?” She laughed and told us that the Foo Fighters were performing the following night. They had been on both of our bucket lists for years. Unfortunately, the concert was sold out—but thanks to the incredible staff, we were somehow able to secure wristbands. It felt like winning the lottery and turned into one of those unexpected travel moments we’ll never forget. The surprises didn’t end there. When we checked out, the reception team casually mentioned that the Foo Fighters had actually been staying at the hotel while we were there. We never crossed paths with them, but it made the entire experience even more memorable. The hotel itself is extraordinary. We stayed in the Queen Charlotte Room, and it was absolutely beautiful. One of the things that makes Auberge Saint-Antoine so unique is that every room is named after a historical figure and features authentic archaeological artifacts discovered during excavations of the site. It truly feels like staying in a living museum without sacrificing luxury or comfort. Every corner of the hotel reflects the incredible history of Quebec City while still feeling elegant, warm, and modern. The location couldn’t have been better. Situated in Old Quebec, we were able to walk almost everywhere. We spent hours wandering the charming cobblestone streets, browsing wonderful art galleries, exploring the historic waterfront, and discovering cafés and shops just steps from the hotel. Although we chose to dine around the city for most meals, we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning, and every evening we found ourselves back in the beautiful hotel bar for a nightcap. It quickly became one of our favorite parts of each day. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the staff. Every single person we encountered was welcoming, genuinely friendly, and eager to make our visit special. Their warmth and enthusiasm made us feel less like guests and more like friends returning home. I’ve been fortunate to stay in some incredible hotels around the world, and I can honestly say Auberge Saint-Antoine ranks among my Top 10 favorite hotels of all time. It’s rare to find a hotel with this much character, history, luxury, impeccable service, and an unforgettable story to tell. We will absolutely return to Quebec City—and one of the biggest reasons is simply to stay at Auberge Saint-Antoine again.
