The Manoir Richelieu is where almost every year we celebrate our family New Year celebrations. Restaurants are great, especially the breakfast buffet that is amazing with the egg station and tons of different products. The St-Laurent is a good restaurant for dinner. The site is beautiful, with activities for everyone. Luckily, snow conditions were good for December and snowmobiling from the Manoir was excellent. The spa is great and so are the exterior pool and spa !!!! But above everything, what makes this hotel absolutely stand out is the staff with highly personalized service. They make the difference.

Great location and beautiful view—the room itself was very comfortable. However, as a frequent traveler, I was surprised by a basic lapse in discretion: the front desk staff said my room number out loud when handing over the key, which is something that should be avoided for guest safety and privacy. I didn’t request a room change since the hotel was very busy. Additionally, upon arrival, the bellboy who handled our luggage (and whom we tipped generously) dropped our bags on the floor, which resulted in a broken powder in my makeup kit, rather than placing them carefully in line. Overall, the location is excellent, hotel is great but the level of service does not match the price of the hotel. I expected better attention to detail and professionalism at this price point. I would definitely give it a 5 for the hotel but a 3 for the service.

I stayed at the Fairmont Richelieu Malbaie for 4 nights for a work convention. After my 3rd visit to this establishment, it's always very pleasant to stay at this hotel. I had a room with a comfortable king-size bed and a view of the Saint-Laurent river. In my room, there was a small refrigerator, an iron, a 43-inch TV with cable, an Alexa system for relaxation, and a dresser for working. It was truly unpleasant not to have a microwave oven. Other 5-star hotels have microwaves next to the ice machine; this would be a suggestion for a grand hotel. The $25 buffet breakfast is very good, but I've seen better for a five-star. The staff is very polite and courteous, ready to serve you. Valet service is available at the entrance. The hotel has two very good restaurants for dinner, and also a bar in the lobby for a drink. The hotel has a coffee shop and a small boutique. There's an underground passage that takes you directly to Casino Charlevoix, where I lost thirty dollars. The hotel has extensive grounds for walks, a gym, an indoor and outdoor pool, a sauna, and hot and cold baths that I truly enjoyed every evening. I recommend the Fairmont Malbaie hotel for a pleasant stay in La Malbaie
