Was on tour with a company, the whole bus got rooms on the second floor. The rooms were nice and clean, I found it funny that we had earplugs with our toiletries. After 10 minutes in the room I notice a buzzing sound. Like if a fan was on although none were. We left for super very good, both nights we had rice and green and yellow beans in our plates ( no choice of potatoes, etc.) Upon, returning to our room, there was that sound again. I had the guide checked it out, he said well, just put the a/c on. It was too cold to do that it was like 5C outside. He could not do anything, by the second evening, I had 2 employees trying to figure out were the sound was coming from. Just take note that the whole section of the hotel, has this sound ( i think it is air circulation, the vents, not well insulated and it never stop). Some guest just put the radio on but I did use the earplugs but they were not good. I did get to relax at the spa, the personnel down there, (Sylvie) was very nice, she deserve a "BRAVO". So, for me this place will not be on my return list. Please do something about this because you will get more complain. Apparently I was the only one that complain but everyone headed the noise.

“Badly needed Floor Repairs”

We stayed in room 2303. I cannot tell you for sure how the room was because the condition of the floor took away from everything. It is a floating laminate floor and it was raised in various degrees board by board and in most areas it was up to 1/2”. Each time we walked across the floor you had to be extremely careful not to catch your foot against one of the many, many, many sharp edges along the raised boards. Unfortunately we were not so lucky to avoid a few scrapes. You also lost your balance every time you walked on the floor because you were trying not to trip or catch your foot on the raised boards. This is a safety concern that has been intentionally overlooked. We brought it to the attention of the front desk and all he said was he would make a note but there was nothing he could do. Not to mention, it was so noisy to walk across the floor because of the boards lifting etc. I do have pictures and a video but was unable to upload to my review. The floor was our biggest issue however there were a few minor issues. First of all there was no iron in the room. We were there for 2 days and only had 2 towels, only 2 coffee pods. The air conditioner is extremely noisy. The room is under furnished. Only 1 sitting chair that was in poor condition. Finally, this hotel charged my credit card 2 days before I arrived. Not only did they take the room charge but they also took a $250 security deposit. No hotel charges your credit card 2 days before arrival. It’s unfortunate because we really were looking forward to our stay here. Last time we stayed at Fairmont but really wanted to try Le Petit Manoir.
