So when we first approached this place I have to say I was a little concerned. Once we checked in and made it to my cabin it was awesome. Greatest view in Herradura. Comes with kitchenette living room and bed room. It has a small tub/shower that could be bigger but does the job. The wifi is ok. It has a restaurant but we never used it as we worked late. Pool is a plus but no gym.

“Terrific view, nice staff”

This place, a bit appart from the rest of the city, but easily reachable by taxi, has probably the best views over the La Herradura bay in Coquimbo. This place, a bit appart from the rest of the city, but easily reachable by taxi, has probably the best views over the La Herradura bay in Coquimbo. The area is very quiet and there is exclusive access to a tiny portion of sea cost. The rooms are comfortable despite furniture is already a bit old. There is also a good restaurant, but if you are in the mood for fish or sea food, better try some of the ones by the port for a truly experience.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in one of these bungalows while I was attending a conference in Coquimbo. The place looked pretty good on a screen (annoyingly "fancy" website that I couldn't check on my iPhone, which became a problem when we drove into Coquimbo), and looked good enough upon arrrival late in the evening. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, it has a nice view of the Herradura bay, and the ammenities (e.g. restaurant, swimming pool) looked OK. The bed was good (covers a little heavy though) and the bathroom met our standards. We slept quite well, which helped us endure the terribly mediocre-dissapointing breakfast they served on each of the 3 mornings we spent there. Everything came out of a can or a sachet. There was no coffee but No-Es-Cafe in these tiny little sachets. There was no butter but these little airplane-like packs of margerine. Jelly was bland. Bread wasn't fresh. The muffin-like cakes they served were clearly old and had lost most of their flavor... We both thought that it was the lamest hotel breakfast we had ever encountered, and that's a shame given how good this hotel could be if the staff and manager tried just a little bit harder.
