I spent three nights at this hotel which is around 10 minutes walk from the main square in Concepcion and also close to the park. The room was spacious, with two king-sized beds. It was also very quiet with no internal or external noise (apart from a noisy AC system in the room). There was a safe in the room and a mini-bar although no ironing or drink-making facilities. The wifi was fast and reliable. A buffet breakfast was included. All in all, it was a perfectly comfortable stay but fairly unmemorable as a hotel.

“Good stay”

The hotel is good, nice amenities and good service staff. We used the indoor pool with our kids and it was very good, clean and warm enough. The hotel’s look and feel is a bit worn out but apart from that it was ok and we had a good time there.

We stayed on a Wednesday and Thursday in January. The hotel was modern and comfortable. Because our room was not ready we were upgraded to a suite. We stayed on a Wednesday and Thursday in January. The hotel was modern and comfortable. Because our room was not ready we were upgraded to a suite. Luxurious marble bathroom, welcoming entry hall with a wall of windows and large bedroom with 2 queen sized beds. The views were good, looking west over the river. The breakfast buffet was excellent, only lacking in pancakes and sausages... hint, hint. The restaurant was very over-priced, a bowl of chicken soup was 2,900. The metal switch in the shower stall fell out when I tried to switch from bath to shower. I was too tired to ask management to fix it. My shower had two water spouts, one from the shower head, one from the switch. Other than that little glitch, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would stay there again.

The hotel clerk told us flat out, don't go out for a walk after about 10 at night. It's very dangerous around here, he said. Good advice. The hotel clerk told us flat out, don't go out for a walk after about 10 at night. It's very dangerous around here, he said. Good advice. There's nothing around except darkened streets, darker buildings and a handful of grimy, ill-lit restaurants. We strolled for about a block and headed back. Why would anyone put up a hotel at this location .... Surrounded by empty lots, used car dealerships construction sites, run-down apt buildings and millions of dogs howling, non-stop. Don't expect much English from the staff, although most seemed pleasant. Service in the restaurant was very slow, took 20 minutes to get a Coke ... And I was virtually the only person there. They said there was laundry service on Sunday ... There isn't. The desk told me the wifi password, but didn't tell me the log on name, as if I didn't need to know that. Wifi is hopelessly slow BTY. Hotel was clean enough to but it had a lonely neglected mid 60s feel to it. Quite an experience.
