Hotel Isla Rey Jorge is a nice hotel in colonial style building in downtown Punta Arenas. It is only 5 min walk to the main Plaza de Armas square and around 10 min to the seaside promenade. “Pleasant Stay”
Lovely and clean, good location and value for money. Staff are super friendly, and ever so helpful. Would recommend to anybody looking for a stay in the heart of Punta, as everything is in walking distance. Taxis are also readily available from outside the hotel.

Excellent staff who all spoke great English. Clean, comfortable room. They were great for advising me on restaurants and other facilities, like bank ATMs. Well worth it. I would definitely book here again!

“Good location”
We found this to be an average place to stay. Nothing bad about it, nothing specially positive about it. Rooms on the small side. Staff on the ho-hum side. Same for breakfast. But, as title says, good location for walking, less than 5 minutes to plaza
