Fairly central. Walking distance to Plaza des Armas, Ripley, the port. Great views from dining room on 7th floor. Comfy room. Good pillows. Helpful staff. A very good breakfast is included in price and if you are hungry after this it is your own fault.

We stayed there recently for 2 nights and was going to extend but nobody from the staff speak English and we unfortunate don't speak Spanish. I know we are the visitors but that's why we book into a hotel and not private stay so we can get an advise on the city, places to eat or go or book tours. Non of these we could achieved there so we moved from the hotel to the next one. In this time and age if there is no at least one staff speaking other language the hotel is cutting off a lot of potential guests. Room are small but OK and clean and above of all its warm there. Bed was comfortable with clean linen although the walls are thin and snoring next door kept me awake most of the night. WIFI constantly dropping out. Breakfast room has beautiful view and adequate selection of food. The ladies there were the only one smiling. There were 3 people at the reception for duration of our stay and nobody really wanted to go outside of their official job or official face. The guy at the last morning had a big problem to convert the currencies for us to pay in local money as they didn't have any change to give us back from US$ which They wanted to be paid in. The first lady who checked us in couldnt get fast enough to get rid of us constantly speaking in fast Spanish so we couldn't catch a word also handed us a pamphlet in Spanish again! What a waist of paper. Surely They could invest into a least translating some points in language which most of travellers speak. She also left us approx. 15mins waiting outside together with other guests as she was not at her desk from where she has to open the door every time you come in. The opening of the door is not a problem as it is a good security but she needs to ask somebody else to be there when she goes elsewhere. Overall if you speak Spanish and want a satisfactory hotel on budget than this is hotel for you but if you want a help or book a tour as we did in English go somewhere else, there are plenty of hotels with language educated staff around in P.Montt.
