“Quiet and friendly”

The room was comfortable, clean and laid out well. The bathroom was clean and everything worked. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We had a shuttle from the airport and were on a tour with Overseas Adventure Travel which made all the arrangements for meals and tours to various sites. We did walk from the downtown area to the hotel one day during daylight hours. It was an easy walk but would not do it at night. We could not get a taxi at night after a show but one of the employees at the show gave us a ride back to the hotel. It was pretty quiet since most of the guest were on tours also and were gone during the day. You could sit by the pool and enjoy the scenery with a cup of coffee or drink. There were no wild parties. Overall, we enjoyed the place and don't understand why some reviewers rated it low. The price of the reservation was included in our trip price and it was worth it. The lobby and dining area was comfortable and although we did not expect to have internet access on Easter Island, it was available in the lobby and dining area.

“Nice sunsets”

We will be staying on Easter Island for three nights. Giving this hotel a 4.1 hinge rating . It is a little rustic but exactly what we have experienced on many of the islands across the Pacific. The facility has 53 units, half of them overlooking the ocean, with most with a Queen bed. We have a slightly bigger room (#15) with one queen and two single beds. Really like all the beds as we use one to lay stuff on. Rooms have AC and refrigerators. Unlike Santiago where they say the tap water is OK to drink, Visitors to the island should drink bottled water.

This is a fairly large hotel with a couple of central buildings (reception and bar/ restarant) and the rooms spread out in ground floor blocks spreading out from the central point. It's very close to the airstrip. WiFi only works properly in central areas. My room was OK on size, ditto bathroom, but decor very dated and tired, as was the bath/ shower. Wood floors, aircon unit, no TV. Simple towels and toiletries. My particular room was on the end of a block with a small balcony and a magnificent view over the ocean. The breakfast buffet was very thin on choices of food. Scrambled eggs were the only hot choice. Urn of coffee. One kind of fruit juice. Toast, cheese, cold meats, fruit, some cake. Place was 30 minute walk into Hanga Roa. Ok for a few days, but not longer.
