“Good value for 3 star hotel”

Stayed 3 nights in early January when it was freezing cold. Although the rooms were adequately heated, the common areas were not. Everyone wore their coats in common areas including breakfast area. This seemed to be fairly common and accepted practice everywhere. I guess they have to save on heating costs where they can. Rooms were clean, nicely furnished with basic amenities although I had to request an iron and ironing board. Everything was well maintained and bedding was very comfortable. Hotel security was good although there was no room safe. No hotel lounge or bar. Staff were friendly and as accommodating as best as they could be given that they spoke very little English. Breakfast buffet was well presented but basic and did not tantalize the taste buds. Coffee was thin and weak. Good location on quiet back street only a block from main street and a quick walk underground to subway and Silk Street market. Overall, good value for money

Based on the price, this is actually a decent place to stay, but the hotel does come with its fair share of issues. Check-in was quick and required a 200 RMB security deposit. The staff did not speak English but overheard what seemed like a manager speaking some English. The room as well as the hotel were quite clean; the room itself is very spacious but missing a lot of basic items, and they did provide disposable toiletries. The room had no safety box, nor did it have a minibar. Air-conditioning worked well, but lightning control was confusing. The best thing about this hotel was the building's elevator, which is one of the fastest I've ever come across. The self-service laundry area was decent, but the machines took way too long. If you required detergent, you had to go down to reception, but it was free. We had an issue with the Meituan cupboard in the lobby as our waimai wouldn't open, so the manager assisted in calling Meituan to manually open the door, which took almost 15 minutes. The manager seemed more annoyed than helpful during that issue.  Location was very good as it's opposite a shopping mall with a 7/11 and a large variety of restaurant/café options. Besides having a great metro connection, the hotel is located on a narrow backstreet, and it's quite a nightmare getting in and out via Didi/taxi.  I wouldn't stay at this property, nor would I recommend it, but it isn't terrible either.  Room: 2.5/5 Facilities: 1/5 Service: 3/5 Location: 4/5

I stayed here four nights when touring China. The location was good and the hotel was clean. However, if not eating local food for breakfast it was pretty poor. The only bread was tasteless sliced pan, which they kept running out of along with the supply of butter, tea cups and other items. There was no bar as such, however if one wanted a drink in the evening all that was available was local red wine or beer and not available after 9 pm. The reception staff spoke very limited English.
