The location is great with easy access to shopping areas by cab. My hub and I strolled under the flyover roads to a small eat and shop area in about 10 to 15 minutes. In this area you will see many Chinese eateries, a couple of pizza eateries, many cafés some of which serves dessert till late. We stayed for 4 out of 5 nights, we spent 1 night in Gulangyu without checking out of our room for convenience. The first and last night we were surprised by the hotel with 2 bowls of desserts brought into our room while we were away. Do be mindful that the hotel does not have the concept of respecting hotel guests' needs in some aspects. They entered our room to deliver the desserts even though we had turned the Do Not Disturb tab on. It was a nice touch, as the green bean and red bean soups were delicious, but it was rude and uninvited. Also, the cheapest room we ordered did not come with any closet or even a simple coat hanger. When asked, the receptionist told me that I could use the one wall mounted hook inside the toilet. After showing my refusal, she "upgraded" me to the next tier room type which had a tiny closet but instead had no tea-making section. Less fun, but we took practicality to our priority. The check-in wasn't great for me. 1 out of my 3 rooms was not found in their system. It was my booking confirmation printout that saved the day. Else I'll have to book another room and get charged by hotels.com for the no-show. Other than these occurrences that made my experience with the hotel a very good one, I certainly loved my stay here. I loved the free breakfast in the vegetarian restaurant. It was simple local cuisine with not a wide selection, but was made deliciously and healthy. I love the puffy double pillows, though the hard bed was tough to sleep in to for the first night. Bathroom was clean and equipped with an awesome shower! Nothing fanciful here, but it has practicality at its best. For all it gives and its decency, the value is far higher than its price. I would surely recommend this hotel for a affordable, simple yet uncompromised accommodation in Xiamen.

“Zenn-themed”

Spend a night at this hotel during a short visit in China. Was given a street-facing room. So my sleep was affected despite the room was kind of meditation styled. Its 20mins away fr airport, didnt had breakfast so nothing to comment about. Staff at the front desk were friendly.

“Decent hotel.. Value for money”

Money absolutely worth for the stay but Big NO for food. Breakfast served was terrible but it is 100% vegetarian. There are lot of other options at a walkable distance to the main road. Location wise very near to one of the beautiful local parks. + location, quiet, clean - food

We stayed in a "meditation" room, which wasn't much of a room for meditation. It was loud from outside construction and road, and the inconsiderate neighbors were noisy. The location is good for the railway station but not much else. Is very difficult to get taxis in xiamen at anytime, so I would suggest staying walking distance to the ferry station. The breakfast included was horrible. The one good thing is the tv was iptv, so many foreign movies to watch free of charge.
