Not the most glamorous hotel, but definitely gives good value for the dollar (especially for business travelers). Rooms are inexpensive with clean rooms & bathrooms. The rooms have actually been updated since the last time I stayed there. The breakfast is good enough considering the room rate being charged. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel along with convenient stores. Only drawback is there are smoking rooms available so you may have to request for a non-smoking room (if there is any),

Stayed here for 3 nights and was impressed from the outset when we arrived very late at 4am. due to plane delays and found the air-conditioner in the room had been turned on for us. Not a great location as far as local shopping or dining options but close to major bus line.Room was good size with plenty of room for suitcases. Great to find a bathroom with good lighting for shaving and ladies make-up....just needs a couple more hooks for hanging and the shower water control can be inadvertently knocked a bit too easily.Unfortunately the bar fridge is set to about 12-14C and can't be changed. Breakfast buffet had great variety with minimum Western content but there is cereal available...but only with hot milk...and toast if you are patient. If you ask the chef you may even get a runny fried egg.....a rare thing in China. Staff were very helpful and great security re room access. We paid abt. 300RMB /night which included breakfast which was great value. Highly recommend this place as most rooms have been recently renovated.

“Good facility and locality”

The room that my wife and i stayed in was quite new compared to others as the room had a different setting compared to the conventional ones my parents were staying in. The room that my wife and i stayed in was quite new compared to others as the room had a different setting compared to the conventional ones my parents were staying in. A lot of shops selling local foods is located around the hotel. There is also a shopping centre located nearby the hotel approximately 10 minutes walk. There is also a wet market selling fresh produce and fruits located behind the hotel. Across the hotel, on the same block, there is a Chinese restaurant that serves fantastic seafood at reasonable price. The only downside is there is no handheld or seat bidet for washing at the toilet area. Overall, the stay was quite pleasant.

The lobby of the hotel looks impressive with professional staff assisting you. However when we went up to our room, we were utterly disappointed. Firstly, we need to drag our luggage up a very steep slope. When we opened the door, we were “welcomed” by a very strong scent of cigarette smoke. Initially we wanted to change our room but I was told it’s the same at every room due to its ventilation system. And if we change to the next block, it’s near the karaoke center which will be worse. Hence we had no choice, luckily we don’t stay in for a long period. We went out for a walk, it’s just a very simple street but you don’t have to worry you will starve as there’s a lot of restaurants and stalls which some opens for 24 hours. A decent place if you just need a shut eye.

“The hotel is fine but where is my deposit?”

I stayed 1 night (27-28 Nov 2017) in this hotel when coming to Xiamen for business. The hotel is fine, however tourists from the West may think it doesn's deserve 4 stars. I think it's more suitable for Chinese people (considering breakfast choice and staff barely speaking Eng) The bigger problem is that when checking in to the hotel you require to pay deposit, I paid 800 RMB. When checking out the reception staff did so called "VOID" or cancelletion of it but I didn't receive money back. It's been already 2 weeks. I can't find their email adress on the web and they certainly won't understand me by phone. Hope some representatives read reviews here and will get back to me with email adress. Ekaterina F.
