Stayed here with a few friends for the first time for just two days. It's a very remote location, it's for the exhibitions that's just located around the hotel. Assuming it's mainly to cater for the business men and women that are in and out. The hotel it self looked nice, with very limited places to venture out to at night apart from the family mart around the corner for your late night snacks or cigs. Daytime however there is a food court once you walk out of the hotel you go down the stairs. Lots of variety Chinese style foods with a subway too. Very cheap at the one place where I had Duck & Chicken with rice and soup for 30yun about £3.50. If you carry on outside the food court you be lead to the underground metro where it will take you out closer to Guangzhou centre. Hotel room wise are spacious, for us two guys with single beds each is enough. With a TV (limited Chinese speaking channels only), kettle, two cups, fridge, aircon and microwave it's the basic things you need. No safe here lots of hidden cupboard/draw spaces. Bathroom was a little bit weird (see photo), it's modern but needs maintaining as some of the lights were not working. Shower cubicle needs to be cleaned properly and maintained too as the silicon was slapped on to seal the large opaque glass, and when I say opaque I mean it slightly as you can see in the picture it's quite see through. So sharing a bathroom with your room mate some not so great views. Clear to toilet and shower. Oh the reviews of the actually reception being upstairs is correct. The staff downstairs are just security. For thoughs who don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese. Try Microsoft translator as it does it on the fly with a split screen for the other person to speak back to you and translated. Overall the hotel is cheap simple and basic. Rooms are cleaned regularly with a quick mop, wipe down and new towels and water bottles.
