“Was very basic”

Was allocated to stay there for 14 night for the compulsory Covid 19 Quarantine. The room was fairly spacious but quite outdated. Also the hygiene situation was not up for the standard so I have to buy the detergent to clean the room by myself. Very basic

This hotel was very comfortable with nice bedroom and shower facility. It has the feel of an international hotel. It was a good location for me due to the business that I was carrying out in this area of Shenzhen., where local hotels are limited. Hotel has no English speaking staff and the breakfast offering is only Asian/Chinese. Strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout hotel. Fit for purpose.

Stayed here twice as it is closer to the client. Rooms are large, clean, and air-conditioned. Other than that, Karaoke parlor takes up a few floors of the hotel and it could get loud and a bit rowdy with young crowd in town. Entry way to the hotel is a hangout for vehicles, apparently, looking for guests needing a ride. In front is also shopping area with an amusement park. Getting back to the hotel itself, the breakfast cafeteria/restaurant serves Chinese style meal. It opens at 7:00AM which may be a little late for business guest wanting to start out early. Then, when you get in to the cafeteria, you will often find the staff and chef having breakfast themselves at tables before the guests. You may wonder what is wrong with it. Well, they are there not to serve guests but to take away the used dishes. Items being placed on buffet table stay the same almost all the time with local tastes. Why can't they provide simple fried eggs, bacons, or sausages for a quick grab...? Then, again, I did not come here for pleasure or sightseeing. It serves the purpose of convenience of proximity to clients.

The description and amenities listed for the hotel is completely inaccurate. First, there are two separate locations for the hotel, approximately 150 yards apart from one another, tower 1 and tower 2. Tower 1 is under construction but remains open. Tower 2 definitely needs to renovated. It's obviously an old building and you can definitely see several issues. The wall papers are very old and peeling. The water damage and stains are very visible in the hallways of every floor and the odor from the damage is very very noticeable. Carpets are old and very dirty. They do keep the lobby clean and organized. The hotel claimed to have a bar, restaurants, night club, sauna, massage, and a karaoke bar. This is not true. There is no bar. There is a restaurant in each of the tower but not very good at all. There is no night club. There is a karaoke bar but this is just a front for a brothel, as is the case in almost all hotels in Dongguan and Shenzhen. You can go and pick a girl of your choice and pay extra to take her back to your room. Sauna is attached to the rear of tower 2. This is another brothel. You will not get a legitimate sauna experience at this establishment. Only thing they offer is, well you can guess what happens in the sauna. Same thing goes for the massage which is located in tower 2. Floor 2 and 3 have been set aside for the massage parlor. When I went in to check the prices, a young boy, maybe 16 or 17 years old, immediately escorted me into one of the rooms. He explained several different options and pricing for sex service. Not what I was looking for or expected at a four star hotel but then I quickly realized I was in Shenzhen so this was normal. There is no wifi in the room, even in the suites. Wifi is only in the lobby. Front desk will provide a broadband router if you make a stink about it. Laundry service was excellent. Parking is limited and may have to park on the street. There are no taxis outside so you have to ask the front desk. There is absolutely nothing in the area as far as entertainment goes. The hotel is located away from main part of the town. Traffic is horrendous due to complete lack of traffic controlling devices. Numerous large construction in the immediate area and creates dust, constantly. Very few staff spoke English and it was very limited. House keeping staff were much nicer and professional than the front desk staff. A bell boy asked my guide if we wanted "lady friends" arranged for us and gave his phone number, again this is normal in Shenzhen. If you are looking for a hotel due to its closeness to your work and don't mind the aforementioned shortcomings, then this is a good place.
