My family and I have a great time at Shangri-La Guilin. This is the best hotel in Guilin. It is the ultimate choice. The rooms have great view. The breakfast has great selections and tasty. The pork belly noodle is so good. The hotel price is reasonable and has great value, it allows you to enjoy luxurious hotel. The room is spacious. Perfect for a family. The location is perfect. The staff and managers from the hotel and restaurant are very professional and helpful. The team truly reflects the General Manager, Ms. Anne Yu's great characters and leadership. She is very welcoming, active, hands-on, energic, friendly, and truly cares about his guest satisfactions. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends, and one day would come back again. The hotel has lots of facilities, go kart track, mini zoo, mini train, game room, indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, whirlpool, and many more.

A great place to stay, good location, wonderful atmosphere, and fantastic staff. We arrived late and with CNY, restaurants were full so a special thank you to the reception manager who fixed us up with an excellent meal from Shang Palace restaurant in the U Bar on eve day 1 and to the barman who provided great entertainment. Also a very special thank you to Mary the manager of the Shang Palace Restaurant for such lovely meals throughout our stay, the meals were 5 star quality especially the Peking duck, fish, fried tofu and seafood dishes. Also my wife and daughter spoke very highly of the Spa, but we didn't get to try the super large indoor pool. Also the tour desk staff who fixed us up with two one day tours which were great value and very scenic. Thank you all we hope to come again.

The most memorable part of our stay was the warm experience brought by staff member Chen Zhuyi (Zoe Chen). From enthusiastically introducing local travel tips during check-in, to proactively taking care of our child and drawing with him when we had unexpected errands, to thoughtfully coordinating various needs throughout our stay—she remained responsible, sincere, and kind at all times. Her service was not only professional but also full of genuine care, making our entire family feel truly at ease and deeply touched. Thank you to the hotel for nurturing such an outstanding employee. Gracefully set along the scenic Li River near Yushan Bridge, the Shangri‑La Hotel Guilin has been welcoming guests since early 2009 as the city’s first international five‑star luxury hotel, and it still stands today as Guilin’s premier address for distinguished travelers. During my stay, I was accommodated in one of the Specialty Suites on the exclusive Horizon Club Level — a spacious 125‑square‑meter retreat featuring a walk‑in wardrobe, guest restroom, private office, a master bedroom with a king‑size bed, and a marble bathroom. Floor‑to‑ceiling windows framed sweeping views of the Li River and the surrounding karst mountains, a panorama so breathtaking that each morning felt almost surreal. The suite’s bedroom offered an additional wardrobe, a flat‑screen TV, and a reading chair, with direct access to the beautifully appointed bathroom, complete with double vanities, a rain shower, a bathtub with a wall‑embedded television, a bidet‑equipped toilet, and Acqua di Parma toiletries. The living and dining area, equipped with a large dining table, comfortable seating, and another flat‑screen TV, connected seamlessly to the adjoining office space. Upon arrival, I was greeted with fresh flowers, a beautifully decorated birthday cake, sparkling wine, and a chocolate creation inspired by Guilin’s landscape — a thoughtful gesture that reflected the hotel team’s remarkable attention to detail. Daily fruit baskets, ample bottled water, tea‑making facilities, and nightly turndown service with sweet treats added to the sense of comfort and care. As a Horizon Club guest, I enjoyed private check‑in and check‑out, daily breakfast, all‑day refreshments, evening cocktails with canapés, meeting room access, and complimentary pressing service. The breakfast selection in the lounge was impressively generous, offering pastries, breads, fruits, juices, yogurts, cold cuts, cheeses, salads, hot dishes, and Asian specialties, complemented by freshly prepared à la carte options. Afternoon tea brought small cakes and fresh fruit, while the evening canapé service was essentially a full dinner buffet with changing appetizers, main courses, Chinese specialties, and desserts. Although the hotel features four restaurants — Li Café, Shang Palace, U Bar, and the Lobby Lounge — I often preferred the privacy and calm of the Horizon Club. My dinner at Shang Palace, however, was a standout experience: refined, beautifully presented, and easily reaching a standard I would consider Michelin‑worthy, supported by polished and attentive service. Beyond dining, the hotel offers a fully equipped fitness center, a serene spa with steam rooms and whirlpool baths, and an Olympic‑size indoor pool. The beautifully landscaped outdoor garden, with winding paths, tranquil ponds, a miniature train ride, and a small animal corner, creates a peaceful oasis that delights both families and guests seeking quiet relaxation. With outstanding personalized service, excellent culinary offerings, exceptionally comfortable facilities, and its serene riverside setting, the Shangri‑La Hotel Guilin shines as the unrivaled choice for a luxurious stay in Guilin.
