“Very Comfortable Stay”

Beddings are comfy. Room is spacious and clean. Seaview is fantastic. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is a bit far from town and not all taxis want to go there. Hotel cafe has limited menu. Breakfast spread is very good though.

This hotel is a newly launched one under Intercontinental Group. All the facilities are new. It was not crowded. This hotel is a newly launched one under Intercontinental Group. All the facilities are new. It was not crowded. Please pay attention that its English name is "Holiday Hotel", while there is another "Holiday Inn Express" right next to it, which is also under Intercontinental Group. Their logos look alike, both of which have "Holiday Inn" and in green. Some guests may confuse them and go to the wrong place. The market positioning of them is different too, whose of Holiday Hotel (Holiday Inn) is higher. Sheraton is on the other side of the street. You could have a sea view from the room balcony as it is located by the beach. The room is large with a large bed too. The room type I stayed this time has an outdoor bathroom on the balcony. You could have a shower when watching the sea in front of you and the cars running downstairs on the road, which I think is a special experience. However, considering the room area, the washroom is too small, especially the sink. You have to be very careful when putting your stuffs on it, just in case they will drop. Personally speaking, I don't like the design like this. There is enough space to build a larger one. I asked the room dining service by ordering a bowl of wonton noodles. It is not tasty at all, for the reason that the chef used ramen in northern China, which is too soft, straight and white. However, as wonton noodles is a famous Cantonese dish from southern China, it is more authentic to use jook sing noodles (bamboo-pressed noodles) which is harder, curvilnear and golden. I sincerely hope the hotel kitchen could realize and improve it. What's worth mentioning, I have a habit to collect hotel envelopes and writing-paper during my stay. But I found some crawlies moving when I open the black folder which was holding them. I was not sure if it is because this hotel is new, but these little crawlies did make me feel disgusting. They are even much smaller than a grain of rice, and sometimes you could find them at home. But it is not acceptable when you see them in a hotel room. And also, it is due to the black folder that they could be seen so clearly. You could hardly not think if there are some on the white bed sheets and towels or not. I strongly advise the hotel to check and clean them.
