Just returned on Sunday from 7 nights in a 2 bedroom suite (room 1617) with my partner and mother. Given the negative reviews, we were dubious about the standard of the hotel suites, but actually it was much better than expected. The suite looked exactly like the photos and both bedrooms had wardrobes and desks so plenty big enough. Yes, the beds were hard but we managed to sleep well. Aircon units provided in both bedrooms and living area. Yes, the sofa has no back cushions but we didn’t mind and there is a massive TV. The bathroom was clean and compact and we had fresh towels every day. The kitchen came equipped with kettle, mugs, classes, teaspoons, fridge and microwave. We used the laundry facility (6 x 5HKD coins for 30 minutes washing but didn’t bother with dryer). The pool was huge and just like the photos - I believe it had been recently renovated. To access the pool, you have to use your hotel room card to access the changing area (which was clean & very spa like). Pros: 1. Harbour front view 2. Free shuttle bus (1 every hour) to & from TST 3. Swimming pool 4. Layout of suite - perfect for 3 adults 5. Fresh towels every day 6. Kettle for tea making & large fridge for storing milk 7. 100m from Hung Hom ferry terminal which took you to Central in 15 mins 8. 10 min walk to Whampoa for shops, including an excellent food court, and MTR 9. Clean - we had no issues with the maintenance or cleanliness of the hotel 10. Plenty of taxis outside the hotel Cons 1. Kitchen came with a hob but no utensils or bowls/plates 2. No aircon in corridors so you would sweat just walking to the lift 3. Hung Hom MTR was possibly the nearest MTR station but the hotel shuttle did not go there 4. We hardly ever saw anyone use the hotel restaurant 5. The hotel might be building a new front entrance because the bus stop for the free shuttle bus is not immediately obvious, and we mistakenly stood at the wrong bus stop for the neighbouring hotel.

Checked in for 7 nights and the concierge and reception staff need a lesson in public relations. Room was dated but neat and tidy. Checked in for 7 nights and the concierge and reception staff need a lesson in public relations. Room was dated but neat and tidy. Cleaning staff were helpful and friendly with room cleaning and fresh towels every day. Side note ask the cleaner for extra towels for the pool as you need to bring your own. Speaking of the pool it’s huge but only open till 6pm, and if there is a thunderstorm warning it’s closed all together. Kids were very disappointed. We paid for the breakfast and it was great, staff also helpful and friendly. The hotel lacks a restaurant for dinner and again when we asked about local restaurants at reception they were not helpful. Free shuttle bus to the sister hotels was helpful. Play ground next door was also helpful with kids.

“Advertising photos deceiving”

I don't think this is a 4 star hotel it looked smart at the foyer but the room was definitely dated and not the cleaness. Stayed here for 3 nights, the room was fine, AC worked well, shower was good. The shuttle service was great and the staff were helpful. The “club room” looked nice and the gym looked very well stocked. The pool was nice and the views from the room were great. But it was the little things that made the stay average; the bed was extremely hard (I know that some like that, but I don’t.), there were no towels or water station in the gym (no mats either). There was a kitchenette but no pots or plates (not that we would have used it). There was no easy way to find out how much the breakfast buffet cost or what it costs of. We only made it to the pool one time; our card keys didn’t work and we didn’t want to go through the hassle of figuring it out. All in all, a forgettable place to stay other than the nice views of Hong Kong island.
