“Simon makes it worth it”
If you absolutely MUST stay in Chungking Mansions (and I don't recommend it), then this hostel is the one you should stay at. Simon, the owner who lives in the hotel, is a great and friendly host. “Simple and friendly guesthouse - inside”
As others have commented, the journey up to the 5th floor isn't the nicest so if you've never stayed in a guesthouse in a less-than-glamorous area and aren't used to touts, you may want to avoid. “An Oasis”
The building this hostel is in and having to queue to use the lifts was not the best, however, Simon was an Oasis.
