We stayed her on the final leg of our China tour. First, Pros about the hotel. It’s central, tucked between trendy restaurants but a little hike with your suitcases from the corner where taxi drops you. Great breakfast and snacks provided, as well as amazing coffee in lobby. Walking distance to almost everything, we walked easily to Jade market, Ladies market and a little hike to Bird and Flower markets but worth the hike. Concierges suggested two wonderful restaurants, one for steak with amazing views, Australian steakhouse steps from hotel, and another near that you order your fresh seafood and they steam it in steamers in front of you...delicious Cons...rooms are tiny, the one we booked on Expedia would not fit us two women friends traveling with two large suitcases, and two carryons. We upgraded to a suite on the top level with panoramic views of city and plenty of room...well worth the cost. Fridge and coffee maker are nice plus

Hotel Review: The Perkin Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) I recently spent a weekend at The Perkin Hotel in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. If you are looking for a central location and plenty of room to breathe (a rarity in Hong Kong!), this is a fantastic choice, though there are a few physical challenges to be aware of. The Location & Arrival The location is unbeatable for anyone wanting to be in the middle of the action. However, the approach to the hotel is its biggest drawback. There is no direct vehicle drop-off point, so you have to walk up a very steep road and then climb a long set of steps to reach the entrance. Important Note for Travelers: If you have heavy luggage, you absolutely must consider this climb, as there is no way to avoid it by car or taxi. Additionally, the main entrance is located right amidst several bars and pubs. Walking through this "bar street" in the evening can be quite noisy, which is something to keep in mind if you prefer a quieter environment. The Room & Amenities Space: I was incredibly impressed by the room size. It is very spacious and offers a great amount of square footage for Hong Kong standards. Comfort: The bed was very comfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the room was top-notch. The Mini-Bar & Extras: The room comes with a mini-bar featuring coffee and soft drinks. I also appreciated the refillable water station located in the 5th-floor lobby. Toiletries: Note: You need to bring your own toothbrush and shower cap. However, the provided body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body cream, and hand soap are all high quality. Service The staff here are wonderful. Both the receptionists and the housekeeping team were consistently polite, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. A Small Word of Caution The only interior downside was the TV placement. The TV is wall-mounted but sits way too close to the walkway and the end of the bed. I actually hit my head 5 times during my 2-day stay while trying to walk to the other side of the bed—especially at night when the lights were off. It’s a real hazard! Bottom Line: If you don't mind the mandatory steep climb and the low-hanging TV, this is a 5-star experience. The space and comfort are exceptional for TST. Just pack your toothbrush and keep your head down!

Good spacious room, great that you could get free refreshments, coffee, tea, snacks, water. But, we had an unsettling experience in our room where my partner noticed a particular perfume smell in the room as if someone had been in but not changed the room. At night however, it can get very very loud and busy outside the hotel with bars and restaurants. Every time we tried to get back to our room we were hassled by promoters trying to get us into their bars but, I understand this is not something the hotel can control. But, it’s worth mentioning. Great location otherwise.
