One of the top hotels in Wuhan. The hotel has an impressive decor which combines Chinese traditional design with modern luxury facilities. Room is spacious and beds are comfortable, bathroom is equipped with Toto bidet toilet and Dyson hairdryer. High floors have very nive views of the East Lake and the Luojia mountain. The restaurant on 6th floor provides eastern China flavor cuisine which is delicious, and has many private dining rooms for different occasions (we saw weddings, birthday celebrations etc during our stay). Staff is very friendly and helpful. The Han Show is next door and the Han Jie shopping center is across the street.

“Lovely atmosphere and great food!”

Fantastic selection of chinese and western dishes, with a wide selection of meats, but amazing especially the cheeses and the desserts. A lot of the staff speaks really good English which really helps. Will definitely come again!

I had a pleasant 4 Night Stay, and if I return to the area, would happily stay here again. With a few changes, the hotel would be even better. Positive 1. Room and hotel were fairly clean 2. Nonsmoking room did not smell of second hand smoke 3. Most employees I interacted with communicated with me in English. If they could not understand me, they always had someone close by who could. Staff was well trained, helpful, and welcoming during all interactions. 4. Four bottles of water at check in. When my room was serviced, housekeeping noted that I had consumed 8 bottles of water, and they left an add eight with a sweet note. 5. Reasonable laundry pricing 6. Complimentary tea and coffee in room 7. Global chargers and outlets provided in room 8. Full length mirror 9. In room safe 10. Room décor has character 11. Comfortable bed and pillows 12. Clothing valet 13. Walk in closet with plenty of storage space for the largest standard luggage size 14. Metro, shopping and grocery store within a few minutes walk 15. In room temperature and humidity controls 16. Shower pressure and temperature controls 17. High quality towels / slippers. Adequate robes. 18. Rooms were soundproof. I didn’t hear any other guests or outdoor activity for my entire stay. 19. Electronic peephole! 20. Assistance with room service: I was not able to access the room service menu via QR code, so staff brought a paper menu, in English, to my room, then came back to my room to take my order. Staff was very kind and helpful in making sure we understood each other. Food was delivered quickly and was tasty. Neutral 1. Room size is adequate. The glass between the bath and bedroom make the room seem larger if blinds are left open. 2. Breakfast was okay, but I wouldn’t have gone back after the first morning if it was not already included in my reservation. Food was palatable and filling, but flavors were quite bland and I didn’t eat anything that made me want to eat it again. There was a decent variety of dishes, changing somewhat each day, however, food temp was lukewarm, bread / pastries were not offered, small cheeseboard with saltines (odd). Served 6:30 – 9:30, I believe. 3. Massage chair in room. I didn’t try it, and it does not go well with the décor, but I think this is a draw for a lot of people. 4. Toiletry amenities: No longer offering the toiletries you might see in other reviews (previously Acqua di Parma, or Hermès; now Acca Kappa, and not great). I would have brought my own if I knew what was provided. However, the hotel does provide almost any toiletry you might need (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, bath salt, body lotion, cotton buds, cotton, tissue, toothpaste, toothbrush, dental floss, makeup remover pad, nail file, shower cap, comb, razor, shaving cream, glass cleaning cloth, shoe cloth, shoe polish, sanitary bags, slippers, robes, Dyson hair dryer) 5. Smart bidet. 6. Mini bar offerings are minimal, and over priced. 7. Laundry sent out at 8:30 am for same day return (laundry invoice indicated clothing sent before 12:00 pm would be returned the same day) but was not returned until the following day. This was okay with me, but it could have been an issue if I needed the items returned by the promised date. Items were returned clean and individually packaged. 8. No welcome (fruit / chocolate) in room. 9. No turn down service 10. Some toiletries that still contained plenty of product were replaced, while others that were completely used / gone were not replaced. Negative (Mostly minor issues that were an inconvenience, but quickly addressed) 1. Shower and a few other crevices in the bathroom could have been cleaner (soap scum and mildew). This was fairly minor, but also unexpected in a 5 star hotel. 2. WiFi disconnected several times. An inconvenience, but not a major issue. 3. Rain shower (overhead) consistently produced a cold drip at 10 second intervals when using the hand held. It was unpleasant to have cold water drip on your head in a warm shower. 4. Room service menu is only if you have China apps installed. I went to the lobby to enquire for a menu, and a series of awkward events transpired. Staff was fantastic and accommodating, however, the process was long, awkward and frustrating on what should have been an easy transaction if only the hotel used a QR code format that could be used by non-Chinese guests.
