“Great Location”

1. room is clean 2. staff friendly 3. loaction is good , near the Fuzimiao 4. Near the Shopping mall 5. you can walk to Qinhuai Qiver , staff tell me a lot delicious food , next time I will stay here again when come back

This is by far the biggest Holiday Inn property I've stayed in China. Good location, connected to a mall via the lobby which has Miniso, Popmart, shops and lots of dining options. This is by far the biggest Holiday Inn property I've stayed in China. Good location, connected to a mall via the lobby which has Miniso, Popmart, shops and lots of dining options. Within walking distance to Fuzimiao too but not exactly near the metro station. The bedroom is very spacious with lots of space even for 2 person sharing a room. The bed is comfortable, with choice of pillow options. Basic amenities are also provided. Bathroom area is equally spacious with the standing shower, though I find the water flow pressure a little weak. The hotel also has a heated indoor swimming pool and gym. I did find it odd however that they don't help to send up your food deliveries, which we had to pick up personally.

While we booked a twin room, we were given a double bed. This perturbed me since hotels should know that their guests specify type of beds for a reason. Location wise, this hotel is good in that it is connected to the Aqua City Mall with its many small eateries. Also, the next mall has branches of the Nanjing Impressions restaurant and Grandma’s (camphor tea chicken, eggplant excellent) – both great places to eat. It is also a short walk to the Confucius Temple area. It is however a longer walk to the Metro. Sanshan Station is probably nearer but Confucius Temple Station a more interesting walk. We took metered taxis to and from the Railway stations – did not DIDI as Didi in Nanjing does not accept cash. Our King room was rather a squeeze, with the bed taking up most of the space and about 3 feet space around its 3 sides. The bed was comfortable and most amenities were provided (kettle, slippers, bottled water). The marbled bathroom was by contrast sufficiently large and quite luxurious looking.

3 night stay for 3 adults in 2 rooms Upside: (1) Location: Many eating places in the mall next door and in the neighborhood. Walking distance to tourist attractions like the Confucius Temple and the Qinhuai riverside (2) Value for money: For the price paid, rooms were spacious and clean (3) Responsive management: Air-conditioning in one room didn't cool down the room. After raising the issue with the front desk, an upgraded (bigger and higher floor) room was provided Downside: (1) Smoking policy: Hotel appears to have smoking & non-smoking rooms. One room had a cigarette odor and an ash-tray in the room. Wasn't aware of this policy, because it wasn't indicated on IHG's website when booking. Too tired at check-in to request a room change, so just dealt with it by opening the windows (2) Gym: Decent size, but stuffy with poorly maintained equipment. There's also an indoor pool next to the gym, but I didn't use it (3) Mis-communication with concierge: Tried to book a minivan/SUV transfer to the train station with the concierge because our 3 large suitcases would not fit a typical Nanjing taxi's trunk, and some drivers would not be willing to put luggage on the front passenger seat. Process was quite challenging due to our limited Mandarin and concierge's limited English. Unfortunately, not only did the transport arrive 5-10 minutes late, it was a regular taxi. Luckily, the driver was accommodating, so all of us and our luggage were able to squeeze into one taxi
