My husband and I stayed at this hotel as one of the hotels on our Gate1 tour of China. Our room was huge with a separate seating area, two bathrooms, a bar and two televisions. The bathroom had a separate tub and shower area. The bed was comfortable with lovely linens. The hotel is used to international travelers and business people. The breakfast featured a wide variety of food from several parts of the world.

“Great Hotel”

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and were upgraded to a suite. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, a mixture of Western and Chinese food with plenty of choice. All in all we enjoyed our short stay here.

A contemporary high-rise hotel situated near the ancient city walls. However, the immediate vicinity offers limited tourist amenities. The staff are courteous, and the accommodations include a spacious and comfortable room equipped with a large, cosy bed and a sizable bathroom featuring a bathtub and a separate shower. The breakfast selection is extensive; however, it can become crowded due to the simultaneous departure of numerous tours. There is often a lengthy wait for elevators, particularly on middle floors, owing to guests from higher levels. A great hotel room provides a tranquil retreat after a day of exploring the city.

We stayed at this hotel in Xi’an for a few days. It wasn’t our own choice but was assigned to us. The property is a high-rise complex in an area that seems to be undergoing modernization—or at least I hope so. The immediate surroundings are not particularly inviting. The hotel is located near one of the old city gates, close to the city wall, but not central. Walking to the city center (Drum Tower) takes about 45 minutes. It’s a fairly large hotel, around 28 floors with about 10 rooms each. While the hotel is reasonably well maintained, it clearly shows its age, with a lingering smell of cigarette smoke absorbed into the furniture and walls. Our room, however, was very spacious, with a sleeping area and a nearly equally large lounge area with a sofa. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent in both variety and quality. The breakfast hall itself, however, had the rather austere atmosphere of a waiting room, which didn’t reflect the food’s quality. Overall, this hotel is fine if the price is right. For me, it’s a bit too far from the actual city center, and you need to be comfortable with the dated atmosphere. That said, the breakfast is definitely a highlight.
