In particular, the Concierge desk offers the most reliable and responsible luggage storage and courier handling services among high-end hotels in the Pudong area. Furthermore, the food quality and variety during the Executive Lounge’s Happy Hour are highly recommended and stand out as some of the best in Pudong. The hotel’s recognition of Elite member benefits (such as room upgrades) is incredibly sincere. This is truly a welcoming hotel where Elite members can enjoy a genuine "home away from home" experience.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location — right by the convenient metro loop line and numerous public bus routes, making it easy to get anywhere. From the Executive Lounge, guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the skyscrapers along the Bund. The hotel’s facilities, dining options, guest rooms, and concierge services are all impeccable. Overall, the service level is top-notch — both efficient and professional — and the value for money is outstanding. What’s especially impressive is the warm and friendly attitude of the Executive Lounge and front desk staff — they are not only beautiful and kind-hearted but also always ready to help. Ms. Vivi Xing from the breakfast noodle station is particularly memorable: she’s gracious, attentive, and has an excellent memory for guests’ preferences — a true sign of her professionalism. The concierge team also deserves high praise for their meticulous care and management of stored items; I have used the parcel and delivery services many times without a single issue. This hotel truly makes guests feel at home. It is one of the most worthwhile brand hotels to stay at in the Pudong area, far exceeding expectations in every aspect. I especially recommend it to Marriott Bonvoy elite members, as the hotel sincerely honors and faithfully delivers all elite benefits.

“Not overly luxurious”

We stayed here in May 2026, attending a conference. The hotel seems to have two main buildings and my room was in a poor one. The room had a wet carpet in places for some reason, a tiny window making it feel like a cell, a musty smell and then the power went out in my room only. No idea why. Foo… more

We stayed here in May 2026, attending a conference. The hotel seems to have two main buildings and my room was in a poor one. The room had a wet carpet in places for some reason, a tiny window making it feel like a cell, a musty smell and then the power went out in my room only. No idea why. Food at lunch was ok but the breakfast offering wasn't extensive and felt like being in a school canteen. The location is a 20 minute taxi ride to the Bund. I wouldn't choose to return to this hotel. I think there is better value elsewhere.

I had a great stay at the hotel until I had one bad encounter with a poorly trained staff member in the lounge that gave a bad ending. After I checked out, as a titanium member, I asked to stay in the lounge until my next appointment at 8pm as it was very cold and windy outside. The lady at the executive lounge in the photo coldly told me I had to pay to use the lounge, which I have never had to do at other better managed Marriott hotels. It’s a cold and unnecessary way to kick a Titanium member out of the hotel and reflects poorly on the hotel’s management. I don’t know why she was promoted to executive lounge when the standard of service was of a poor level and she prioritises money over the care or hospitality to the customer. Otherwise the hotel was great and I was grateful for the upgrade and late check out, it was just tarnished at the end by this one staff member.
