Having stayed at two luxury hotels during my time in Shenzhen, the St. Regis was, without any doubt, the one that left the strongest impression on me. From the moment I arrived, the experience felt special. Being welcomed at the reception on the 96th floor, with that extraordinary view over Shenzhen, immediately sets the tone. In fact, I would dare to say that the view from the hotel was even more impressive than the one from the Ping An observation deck. Waking up and having breakfast with that breathtaking panorama in front of me was simply unforgettable. What truly makes the difference, however, is the people. Everyone I crossed paths with was genuinely kind, welcoming and attentive, and the Concierge team deserves a special mention. In particular, I would like to thank Lucien, who very kindly helped me send my postcards. Writing and sending postcards may seem rather old-fashioned these days, but it is a tradition I still keep whenever I travel, and his willingness to help with such a small but meaningful detail is exactly the kind of service I will remember. I also greatly appreciated the team's ability to communicate comfortably in English. For an international luxury hotel welcoming guests from all over the world, this makes an enormous difference and was something I particularly valued during my stay. If I had to mention one thing I missed, it would be an outdoor swimming pool. During Shenzhen's very hot days, having somewhere to relax outside, enjoy the sun and unwind would have made an already exceptional hotel virtually perfect. But this is a very minor point compared with everything the St. Regis gets right. The service, the warmth of the staff, the attention to detail, the spectacular setting and, of course, those unforgettable views made my short stay truly special. If I return to Shenzhen, I know exactly where I will stay. My rating? 20 out of 10. Please keep doing what you are doing — you have created something very special.

The reception is at 96th floor. The front desk does not speak fluent English. Below 75th floor are offices. The infinite pool is at 75th floor of good size with jacuzzi. Have not tried the spa, which is several times more expensive than in the mall connected even after the hotel discount. You can go up to the 100th floor but it is reserved for special events. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall with restaurants through an underground passage. View of the rooms are impressive, overlooking the whole city and above clouds, with only 1 building of similar hight. Every room has a whole wall window from floor to ceiling. Depending on the positions of your rooms, some are facing the more rural area than the city centre. Service is very good with people coming in to bring in fresh fruits and tidying the rooms several times a day. Room is spacious with a small walk in closet. Every detail are attended, it surprised me with a full set of stationaries. The bathroom lighting can be adjusted to different tones with relaxing music. The price is very good for this level of service and facilities. The buffet lunch is of high quality and has a lot of varieties including Chinese and western. The only complains I can think of are furnitures are a bit worn out and there is a slight smell of cigarette on the bed.
