I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Megan Zhang, Club Lounge Manager, and Jerry Shang of the Club Lounge team at The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin. Above all, I would like to thank Megan for making every moment of our stay memorable—from the very first check-in experience, throughout our time in the Club Lounge, and all the way until our departure. There was never a single moment when we felt overlooked. Her dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail ensured that we enjoyed one of the most memorable hotel experiences I have ever had. This trip was especially meaningful to me because it coincided with my birthday, and it was also my mother's very first visit to China. Tianjin was a completely new destination for both of us, and thanks to Megan's care and hospitality, it became an unforgettable and truly magical experience. As I was traveling with my mother, I asked numerous questions about local attractions, sightseeing opportunities, and dining recommendations. Despite what I can only imagine is a demanding schedule serving many elite members and guests, Megan consistently provided thoughtful, detailed, and heartfelt guidance. What impressed me most was that she did not simply recommend restaurant names; she carefully prepared printed directions, marked locations on maps, suggested signature dishes at each restaurant, and even explained the most efficient routes and distances. This level of personalized service was genuinely touching and far beyond my expectations. During evening cocktail hours, she also introduced several cocktails she had personally developed, prepared them herself, and repeatedly checked to ensure that we were enjoying them. These interactions never felt scripted or obligatory. Rather, they reflected a sincere kindness and genuine passion for hospitality that came naturally from her character. It was also evident that Megan possesses extensive professional knowledge and takes genuine pride and joy in her work. Her enthusiasm, expertise, and leadership were visible throughout the Club Lounge operation. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Jerry Shang. Every time we visited the Club Lounge, he welcomed us with warmth and professionalism. What stood out most was his ability to remember guests and provide service that felt personal and authentic. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care contributed greatly to our experience. Furthermore, I believe the outstanding culture within the Club Lounge reflects Megan's leadership. Every team member we encountered was courteous, professional, and eager to help. It was clear that the team takes pride in delivering exceptional service. As a Marriott Bonvoy member for more than a decade, having held Platinum Elite and Titanium Elite status and currently being a Lifetime Gold member, I have stayed at many excellent hotels around the world. I can confidently say that The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin ranks among the very best. More importantly, it will be remembered not merely as a great hotel, but as a place that created extraordinary memories for my mother and me. Please extend my heartfelt thanks and recognition to Megan Zhang, Jerry Shang, and the entire Club Lounge team. They represent the very best of Ritz-Carlton hospitality. “Top notch service!!”

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights - 19th and 20th Dec. A few things stood out. 1) Although I am a Titanium member, I do not get access to the Ritz lounge. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights - 19th and 20th Dec. A few things stood out. 1) Although I am a Titanium member, I do not get access to the Ritz lounge. The room was not ready when I checked in, and I was given access to the lounge while waiting for the room to be ready 2) Due to the fact that all suites were full, me and my family were given free breakfast for the 20th Dec morning which was a very nice gesture 3) The staff were ever so friendly and always in good spirits welcoming and greeting us whenever they saw us. 4) Me and my wife celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary and they gave us a cake and a fruit platter which was much appreciated. 5) The table was also decorated with rose petals with 2 cards written. All in all, one of the best if not the best hotel experience I have encountered in a long time (and I have been staying in good hotels due to the nature of my work). Shout out to Dora who was one of the staff who made the difference! Will definitely recommend anyone who is coming to Tianjin to stay here!

“Great classic elegant hotel”

Beautiful classic hotel in Tianjin. Exec lounge is great rooms are great and it is quiet. No reason this would not be the best place to stay in Tianjin unless you are working further away and want to stay in the ‘new’ area. I would stay here and deal with a longer commute. Suite upgrade is awesom… more

“Simply the best”

I was lucky enough to spend two nights in this hotel and I won't soon forget my stay. Everything was perfect down to the smallest detail.
