I stayed here for a two night stay on a first work trip to Tianjin University last month and was very pleased. My room was clean and functional, while the lobby area had relatively stable, free WiFi, and a convenient coffee shop and bar. The hotel is quite conveniently located, especially for visitors to the main university campus. While I didn't have occasion to avail of many of the hotel facilities, I was satisfied with the breakfast buffet, which was mainly Chinese food. I would be happy to stay here again on another work visit.

if you are looking for a top quality luxury hotel then the Jinbin might disappoint. However, I found it to be perfectly adequate for a four night stay in Tianjin. if you are looking for a top quality luxury hotel then the Jinbin might disappoint. However, I found it to be perfectly adequate for a four night stay in Tianjin. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff were used to dealing with non Chinese visitors so help on any aspect was quickly forthcoming. The mattress on my bed was incredibly hard but to be honest I slept really well. The breakfast menu was mainly Chinese so for a less adventurous Westerner the choice could seem somewhat spartan. My one dinner in the main restaurant was excellent with the Peking Duck being particular worthy of note. The location is convenient for travelling around the city and it is an easy walk across to the University grounds which give some relief from the relentless stream of traffic which is such a trademark of all Chinese conurbations nowadays.

“good hotel”

this is a nice hotel - not the ritz but rooms were good sized and the bathroom had a shower and also bathtub - not immaculately clean but fine - buffet had everything an american or chinese traveler would want to eat for breakfast - wifi only in lobby and when lots of people on wifi it slows down -… more

this is a nice hotel - not the ritz but rooms were good sized and the bathroom had a shower and also bathtub - not immaculately clean but fine - buffet had everything an american or chinese traveler would want to eat for breakfast - wifi only in lobby and when lots of people on wifi it slows down - the desk does not speak english - beds are hard but it did not affect sleeping for me

This was an average experience of a business hotel. The hotel room was good and spacious. Biggest bed I have ever seen in any hotel perhaps! the reception is not very pleasant particularly that you don't get much greeting or smiles. The breakfast was good with good selection of food. The location was perhaps the best for us as we were in Tianjin for the university visit. The university is just the adjacent block, making it easy for us to go around easily. The service was ok as we did not have any problems, but I would certainly say there is scope for development.
