“Beautiful and quiet”

Loved the hotel with location and design. Low roof building houses with gardening Room is large with enough facilities. Walking to their sister hotel of Intercontinental for buffet breakfast .. what a view looking over far away snow mountain. Very impressive view. Will be back one day

Uniquely modern in an ancient town...room is well designed with modern amenities, stylish & spacious which gives the resort feel in the heart of the city. Excellent location beside the famous ancient town which one can visit anytime during the stay....no issues with food, shopping & entertainment. Delicious breakfast is available both in the hotel & the affiliated Intercontinental Hotel next door. I love the ala carte menu served in the hotel & the personalised attention given by Ms Linda Ding. I will definitely stay in this hotel again for my next visit to Lijiang.

“Best hotel in town, many small flaws that make it hazardous.”

While this is supposedly the best hotel in Lijiang, which has insufficient 5-star hotels, I’m giving my rating to it as a 5-star hotel (ie higher standards required). While this is supposedly the best hotel in Lijiang, which has insufficient 5-star hotels, I’m giving my rating to it as a 5-star hotel (ie higher standards required). Location of the hotel was good, adjacent to the old town. We are an extended family of 9, with the elderly and kids. Check-in: Requested adjacent rooms at booking which were not available. Arrived in the early evening, check in was fast and courteous. Luggage was delivered to the rooms without incident. Grounds: The unequal cobblestone paths between the “villa rooms” may be quaint but dangerous at night as they were very dimly/insufficiently lit. We had to use the torch functions of our phones to see where we were going or would easily have tripped. Rooms: We were given 5 rooms, all on the ground floor. There is an outer door leading to a small outdoor path then to the actual room door. Again this outdoor area was poorly lit, and the outside door in fact had a raised doorway followed immediately by a step down, which was not lit. I in fact did trip and almost fell. This is hazardous. (See photo) Inside the room, which despite being decent sized, had nowhere to put 2 suitcases. There is a small space in the bathroom under the hangars, enough for a single medium suitcase, but the space is right under the hangars which means I cannot comfortable access my suitcase and hang clothes at the same time. The room itself is full of useless display wooden Chests, without a single drawer or other wardrobe space. The toilet seat itself is too small for the toilet. The countertop has 2 sharp edges, again hazardous in a bathroom. No F&B outlets or other amenities in the hotel. The toilet seat itself is too shall for the toilet.
