This was a return trip for us, having stayed Oct 23 so had a certain expectation which surprisingly were exceeded! We had no problems last time and it is a well used, clean all inclusive hotel. However, compared to last stay- Room felt cleaner and bigger, albeit A block is noisy til 11pm ish due to being over entertainment area. I found bed comfortable, personal choice. Check in, only grumble, booked AI but was asked for credit card at check in, in case of additional purchases, or €50 euro deposit. After discussion, awkward but polite, agreed they would proceed with check in without deposit or card. Same as last time. Food I think is better this time, more varied and hotter. I agree they offer a lot of fish but that should be expected in the med. Lifeguards are exceptional and definitely on it! Pools are spacious and never feel crowded. Entertainment is OK, something for everyone, think butlins and you won't go wrong. General areas have clearly had a refresh and it looks good. Clean and tidy. Empty/rubbish picked up quickly Overall a good solid hotel with polite staff, could benefit from stopping up sell, and check in deposits on AI and little food descriptor cards would be great (eg fish pizza/or whatever it is) Would stay again

“Vacation Best jacaranda”

The team international was great specially the amazing jose with the kids and the staff from vitalocio Giorgio, Amin and Gilberto. We like the food, but it’s very big en busy. There were 5 swimming pools and luckily there were some heated!!!

Just returned from a family holiday at Hotel Best Jacaranda…we were put there after the original hotel we booked was closed for a refurb-a Jet2 grumble! However, we loved the hotel. Bedrooms were cleaned everyday, ours was abit dated, other family members had better rooms but we had a pool view. Buffet food was plentiful and although slightly repetitive it was always good. Entertainment during the day has a song we can’t now unhear! Evening entertainment was varied…not always great but one of our family won bingo! Pools were good- some noisy but there are quieter areas to choose. Good position for walking to beaches, bars and restaurants. Cocktails were good-we were gold so all big named drinks were included. Overall good hotel, good food. Turned out ok!

We booked this hotel as a last minute getaway, and if you go with the expectation that you get what you pay for then you won’t be disappointed much. We booked this hotel as a last minute getaway, and if you go with the expectation that you get what you pay for then you won’t be disappointed much. We arrived quite late, and the restaurant had closed for the evening and we were directed to the piano bar for sandwiches. There was one croissant! The room despite reviews we found to be fine, the main bed was quite hard and pillow per person flimsy. The sofa beds as reported by the children were comfy though! The room was clean, though dated. The toilet door is glass and partly see through so could do with changing. The pool area was clean, although they do not allow reserving of sun beds. If you do this, they will take your towels (no mention of where they take them!) and leave you with a notice! There was an incident where a child had an accident in the pool which led to the “heated” pool being closed for the day. Surely babies should be wearing swim nappies?! The food is like many others have reported, disappointing! There is as you would expect repetition of themed foods and often is lukewarm at best. Though you could say for a hotel of this size it may be expected, like I say you get what you pay for. We didn’t have high expectations as we grabbed the last minute deal! Pasta was at time undercooked, and burgers had gristle and were quite pink! Staff seemed to be more interested in those that were paying and not all inclusive customers, we had little if any interaction with staff as they were not bothered! Entertainment on a evening was disappointing apart from the magician, who was very good! The Location is the best part of the ‘Best’ Jacaranda, as it is very close to the beach and restaurants/shops! Adeje is a lovely area and prefer it over playa de las americas! Would we stay again? Yes if it was cheap but we would not stay all inclusive and would likely only use the hotel as a base and eat out!

We are just back from the Jacaranda after a 10 night stay as a family. We had a good time despite the hotel, the location is good, the weather was nice, the price was ok for an Easter holiday trip. I will break my review down to the good, the bad, and the restaurant. “Best” Jacaranda There was only one area I would describe as the “Best” and this is the lifeguards – whether they are rescuing children from the big pool that can’t swim, assisting people having a fit poolside or removing everyone from the pool to be able to scoop some faeces out of the heated pool( for the 3rd time in a week) with a giant telescopic net. The lifeguards here are on it, and they need to be, they certainly earn their wage. “Average” Jacaranda The hotel itself is dated, the pictures on the walls were turning yellow with age. There are glass doors on the toilet, not ideal when staying as a family, and some of the light fittings were hanging out. The noise here also is quite something, including hearing the toilets flush from every room / some rather entertaining holiday arguments through the walls / and some rather less pleasing ‘snoring’ throughout the night. The beds are on wheels and make an awful noise to get in or move, and the pillow was a draft excluder type sausage that was far from comfortable. There is a pillow menu however if you want to upgrade from hostel standard pillows, at a cost (this trend continues elsewhere - upselling is a clear hotel policy). Cleanliness – see picture, one day one of our bed sheets had a lovely stain on the cover, and the smell test did not directly rule out the possibility this was faeces. The pools are ok, the heated ones are handy on colder days (when there isn’t faecal matter floating around in them). The animation could consider diversifying their pool music perhaps, I got pretty sick of the holiday dance 5 times a day followed almost routinely by Shakira singing some gibberish about Africa. “Awful” Jacaranda Dinner in the restaurant is as bad as it gets, think school canteen. The quality of the food is probably one of the worst I have ever stayed at. On offer is; part baked sausage, snotty eggs, medium rare chicken breast, pink chicken burgers and reheated potato in many forms, all served lukewarm. The food was so well received that we saw 3 different people being sick in the corner of the restaurant at dinner on 3 consecutive evenings – I do wish this was an embellishment, but sadly it is not. We then lost one of our party for 2 days to diarrhea after not being so lucky to have vomitted his food in the designated canteen sick corner. Drinks, the red wine vinegar on tap was just that, but you can buy an average bottle of Rioja at 200% mark-up from the supermarket, if you want a spirit such as Gin that doesn’t have notes of TCP, then that will cost you extra again. I am unsure whether all these things are just the results of a badly run hotel or actually, a deeply clever way to upsell everything – by making all-inclusive standard offerings as ghastly as possible. So in summary, with my review containing more bile and poo than I ever expected to ever write, I can safely conclude that this hotel is far from the “Best”. That said, with some TLC and a bit of investment the hotel itself is salvageable and could be ok – but it’s going to take some serious food standards implementation to sort out the canteen to ward off the repeated outbreaks of ‘acute Jacaranda’ requiring the inflicted to make multiple trips to the vomit corner. My advice is to eat from the live cooking stations, and double check everything is properly cooked.
