Fabulous hotel in the very pretty Baska Voda. Hotel is right on the front with views of the harbour and sea. Such an excellent location, can walk left out of the hotel to Makarska, such a beautiful walk along the pathways on the seafront and to Brela and beyond on the right. Perfect location! We had a standard room ( only rooms left) but our room like the rest of the hotel was exceptionally clean, of a really good size, great shower ( always very hot water) and plenty of storage. The room had a fridge, hairdryer, kettle for coffee/tea ( replenished daily) along with a coffee pod machine providing 2 pods thereafter I think you had to purchase them. Not a problem for us as I always take my own tea and coffee. Housekeeping did an excellent job daily. The bed and pillows were the most comfiest we have had anywhere we have travelled, just divine! Breakfast provided an excellent selection of hot/cold foods, everything you could wish for with some lovely breads. We booked half board, the choices and cooking were better some nights than others but we always found something to eat. Plenty of restaurants on the doorstep to choose from if you wish to eat out. A bottle of wine, cocktails and all drinks were very reasonably priced in fact we didn’t drink anywhere else every evening. Big shout out to all the fabulous staff who served us at breakfast and dinner especially Kristina in the restaurant and Ivan who made the most excellent cocktails! All staff throughout the hotel were very welcoming, very friendly and we couldn’t have received better service. This was our very first visit to Croatia and I was rather anxious about my choice as friends were travelling with us. Absolutely no need, we loved this hotel, loved Baska Voda and we will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel. Thank You all at Grand Hotel Slavia, for a fabulous stay!

A very stylish hotel set right by the beaches in the heart of Baska Voda. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly giving helpful advice when asked. Every area was clean and nicely scented. Our room had a huge bed with very comfortable mattress and pillows and had plenty of storage and efficient aircon. The breakfast buffet was freshly presented with lots of healthy options and I would recommend the restaurant for evening meals also. We enjoyed the spa facilities with deep pool, 3 saunas and a steam room. For the price we paid this hotel felt much more expensive and I can't fault it at all. We had a balcony room at the side near the church and although the bells sound they are quiet during the night. They didn't bother us at all and I actually liked hearing them. It made my stay all the more authentic.

We spent 10 days at the Grand Hotel Slavia and overall had a pleasant stay. The location is excellent – right in the center and just across the street from the beach, which makes it very convenient. The staff is very nice and supportive, always ready to help with anything. Breakfast is included and well prepared, but please note that the hotel does not offer all-inclusive options. For dinner, there is a set menu, which is very Italian in style and nicely done. The rooms are clean, but some areas could benefit from renovation to feel more modern. On the positive side, the SPA area is very nice, with different types of saunas, a jacuzzi, and a pool – definitely a highlight. It is important to mention that this is not a typical holiday resort, but more of a city hotel. While the overall experience was good, the price compared to the quality feels slightly overestimated. In summary: we enjoyed our time and had a good 10-day stay here.

Hotel Slavia has recently been sold and this has prompted changes to both the hotel and its service. The majority of staff from many years at Slavia have now left and the new team are delivering a changed approach. Some are able to understand English, others are not. The rooms are currently decorated the same however, key features have now been removed such as coffee machines and pods from rooms. There are old kettles to make tea / instant coffee. The towels are replaced when required by housekeeping however, they are mismatched and often worn, with tears, holes and frayed. The spa area no longer offers the range of treatments it previously did. Instead, a condensed version of massages such as chocolate, honey, relaxation or sports is available. There are no facilities to purchase facial products such as Payot as the facial spa treatments/ sales has been removed. The spa pools and swimming pool are not heated this is also the case for saunas and steam area, which is switched on by request of a guest. If you are that guest prepare to wait an hour until you are able to use the facilities. The hotel is catering for events, conferences and meetings which can entail late night or early morning noise for example 23:00 movement of chairs, tables and furnishings or 06:00 movement of furniture throughout reception and drinks terraces areas. The hotel has a great central location and beautiful pine tree and Adriatic Sea views. It is very noisy due to staff continually moving furniture and equipment late at night and early in the morning. The rooms are comfortable and basic, the suites are spacious often with two bathrooms one a shower room one with a bath. The grand suites offer the largest space and balconies with chairs and sun loungers. The hotel provides separate towels for use at the pool area which can be changed regularly. Breakfast offers a self service buffet of pastries, cold and hot selections including sausage, sliced meats, cheeses, eggs, salad and vegetables. There are several types of juices, milks and hot drinks which are all included. Slavia has its restaurant Del Posto for evening meals however, it is expensive and there is an abundance of restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from in Baška Voda and neighbouring Brela.
