This was our third stay in as many years at the Almyra, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations. What keeps us returning is the incredible service and genuine warmth of the staff, who truly make the experience unforgettable. Every interaction is a testament to their commitment to excellence. Special recognition to Nikoleta and Milen at Mosaics, Dominica and Valentin at Notios and Izabela at Guest Services who all go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels valued and looked after. The quality of the food and drink is exceptional. Our interconnecting sea view room was, as always, perfect for a family of 4 with stunning views of Paphos harbour. And lounging by the pool always provides a sense of calm and tranquility. Thank you to Panos and the entire Almyra team for consistently delivering. It’s this level of service, care, and quality that keeps us coming back!

We have just visited the Almyra for the 5th time and can not recommend this hotel highly enough!!! It excels at being the perfect hotel for families that want excellent service and understated luxury without the cheesy poolside activities and kids disco. The staff here can’t do enough for us - from making sure the children are well catered for, to making our favourite dishes & cocktails - we can’t thank Dominika and Valentin enough. The rooms are perfect…. For families there are Interconnecting rooms with 3 single beds in one and a comfortable kingsize in the other. Having been here since the children were babies the rooms have always been perfect. Highly recommend seaview rooms!! There are 3 pools - 2 available to all guests and 1 adults only which is a beautiful escape while kids are in kids club! Lifeguards are always in attendance and we have always found the clientele here to be friendly and respectful. This isn’t a place for music, pool activities or poolside entertainment… this is a hotel that wants guests to enjoy and relax in a calm and beautiful environment. Restaurant and food options are endless and of the highest calibre (half board is definitely the way to go here!!) and the easy stroll into Paphos harbour means that you can satisfy everyone’s needs for the holiday purchases and nightlife returning to the calm and quiet of the hotel lobby for air conditioning and evening aperitifs. We will be returning back to our second home and the Almyra family who we love to see and catch up with year on year. The Almyra Hotel in Paphos has been our family’s go-to destination for the past five years, and each visit only deepens our love for this magical place. As a father of three energetic kids (aged 12, 11, and 7), finding a hotel that caters to all our needs can be challenging, but Almyra consistently delivers well beyond expectations. The first thing that strikes you about Almyra is its serene ambiance. The hotel has an incredible boutique feel throughout the entire grounds. The rooms are minimal, spacious, and immaculate , and the Sea-View rooms have the most spectacular sunsets. A Garden Sea View Room is also a notch up if your budget allows for it - we have been upgraded to this previously - and you can literally go from room to pool in seconds. Our first few years at the hotel, we never ventured further from the three incredible restaurants on site. The standout of which is Notios, where the food is exceptional. The staff - this is where the hotel goes from 5 to 5*. Nicoletta, Eleni, Milen, Robert in Mosaics, Domenika & Valentin in Notios (to name just a few) - we can honestly say that they feel like family. Their genuine love and care for everyone, is incredible and we always hope to see them back every year! This year we met the new GM, his personable nature and visibility was a standard ahead, proving that Almyra is more than just a hotel—it’s a second home. We can’t wait to return yet again.

“Amazing! Fabulous! Brilliant! Beautiful!”

We stayed at the Almyra for 12 nights from 14th June 2024. It’s a lovely hotel in a beautiful location, right on the seafront and a leisurely 10-15min stroll round the bend into the harbour area. On arrival we were welcomed by a happy, friendly porter who immediately helped with our bags and showed us into reception area. The reception staff were great, extending another warm welcome and checking us in efficiently, and we were soon on our way to our superior sea view room on the top floor (floor 4), our special requests we’d sent in advance having been granted. The next morning (it had been a late night arrival), we headed down to breakfast to find a brilliant set up! You could eat in either the mosaics restaurant area inside, on the covered veranda outside, or down a level to the pretty outside garden area with views over the children’s pool area. The buffet breakfast offerings blew us away! Everything you could think of, and more! The area was kept extremely clean and the food was constantly topped up. The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful but special mention has to go to the lovely ELENI. She is amazing! She knows your drink preference (you order your coffees and teas on a waiter service) pretty much from day one. She goes out of her way to get to know a little bit about everyone and make you feel welcome. She’s a real credit to the hotel and obviously loves her job. Another special mention has to go to the Guest Services lady who helped with our hire car and gave lots of great advice on where to go and what to see to make the most of our few days with the car. And also, the pool guys. A great bunch of lads, always happy to stop and have a chat and a laugh or help with whatever you needed around the pool area. Another credit to this hotel. The pool areas themselves were kept very clean and safe, the children’s pool had a retractable canopy over it which was pulled over when it became hotter, it is a brilliant idea and looked great, like a big billowing soft white sheet suspended on wires along the length of the pool. Further along the grounds you find the hotel spa with its infinity pool overlooking the sea. Another beautiful area that can be used by guests (treatments at extra cost but as I was on holiday, I did treat myself to a relaxing back neck and shoulder massage followed by a sauna and steam room session). So overall, although the location, building and grounds were fab, the staff are the reason I’d definitely visit again! We had a great time in Paphos and packed a lot in, including the evening 3 course buffet dinner and show on Wave Dancer, a drive to Latchi to take a boat trip to the blue lagoon, went to see the Edro III shipwreck and sea caves, visited the Old Town and King’s Mall (including getting lost in the maze that is Jumbo!), spent a day or Coral Bay beach and visited their strip at night, saw the Tombs of the Kings, Nea Paphos and Paphos Castle and walked the coastal path. I especially recommend a trip on Wave Dancer and going on the boat to the blue lagoon, both were brilliant! I already loved Cyprus as we’d been to Protaras many times in previous years, but this was our first time in Paphos and our love of the Island and its people has been strengthened and renews. We will definitely be back! ELENI, keep doing what you do - you’re amazing!
