“Great location, spacious rooms. ”

The location of the hotel is excellent just few steps from main square but far enough to be quiet. The room was pretty spacious with comfortable furniture and bed, nice bathroom. The breakfast were good enough with little lack of fresh fruits. Private parking is an advantage.

Located on a side street just off the town’s square, it took me a little under 15 minutes to walk from & to the train station (straight line walk from the square to the station). I arrived at 18.00 & the hotel entrance was locked but no problem, press the bell & a member of staff appeared to let me in. A bright modern foyer/reception area gives a good first impression. Checking in was friendly but took longer than it needed to take mainly because the lady at reception spoke little or no English. She asked me if I spoke German but my limited command of that language wasn’t going to be enough to get me through checking in & sadly, I speak not a word of Czech. Every part of the check in process became dragged out due to our language difficulties & it basically turned in to pay now (which I did), my passport, name of town where I lived, my room number on 1st floor & key (not a keycard). Not a mention of how to connect to the hotel wifi but I did eventually nail it down that breakfast was from 07.00 to 10.00 but only after I asked. You might think that from the way that this review has started that it is going to be a negative review but that is not the case as, taking 10+ minutes longer than was necessary to check in is not something on my list of absolute no nos when I’m travelling on my own. Btw, the key has to be left at reception when going out. The lift to the first floor where my room was located is next to the reception desk. There is a cooler with beer, soft drinks & water & also, snacks available. located in the foyer directly opposite to the reception desk. My room was on the small side, clean, fresh & modern but fairly minimal in facilities. I got the impression that the room had been refurbished fairly recently. I noticed immediately that there were no towels in the room so, off down to reception I went & back up with me came the receptionist who, after a bit of charades, clicked what the issue was & duly headed off & returned a minute later with 1 bath & 1 hand towel. No info on the wifi in the room either but on asking the receptionist we got the info that I needed & I was connected to the free, fast & reliable service. The room had a carpet floor, comfortable single bed, bedside locker, small coffee table & chair, wardrobe with just 2 hangers & which, height wise, must have been made for one of snow white’s 7 mates, clothes rack, tv on the wardrobe at the foot of the bed, smoke alarm, mirror & 1 spare electrical socket. A radiator kept the room temperature just right & a decent sized window let in plenty of natural light. No big issues with noise from outside of the hotel even though my room was located right over the main entrance. I was aware of traffic passing but it was fairly intermittent & the sound was fairly muted whilst even though my room was located next to the lift, I didn’t hear it at all nor did I hear any noise from fellow guests. There was no iron in the room but there was an ironing room which I was told (by a different receptionist) that I could use the following morning. When I asked the next morning I was told that a member of housekeeping would look after things for me even though I wanted to iron my own few tee shirts. No problem though, 10 minutes & a tip later & my 5 tee shirts were left back to my room. The bathroom was a small but still manageable size. Very clean with a tiled floor & walls, hairdryer, mirror, shaving socket, ceiling vent, soap, 1 sachet hair/body shampoo, small shower cubicle, shower curtain, shower head on a hose with good pressure & plenty of hot water. Breakfast was available, if needed, from 06.30. I went down at 06.50 & there were no other guests there. Served in a large dining room, it looked as though there would not be a problem getting a table at any time as room numbers were on the tables. Continental buffet style, there was a very good selection of good tasty fayre available including cereals, toast, yoghurt, ham & salami slices, cheeses, boiled & scrambled eggs, tomato & cucumber salad, breads, bread rolls, pastries, fresh whole fruits, coffee, flavoured teas, apple & orange juices. Checking out, with a different receptionist, was much quicker & smoother than checking in had been. As mentioned already, the hotel is located just off the town square where the Christmas Market was being held when I stayed. Nearby there are plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets & shops. There were several minor negatives, all of which were sorted out & none of which would have spoiled my stay. I have no hesitation in saying that I would stay in this hotel again.

Rated 4 Stars in my opinion more 3 Stars Staff not very accommodating No restaurant only breakfast Rooms Nice and clean but not cozy Hotel is placed diretly in centrum of the City I would recomment the hotel for short stay

Hotel and rooms were clean and tidy, parking at the rear, ideal location close to the main square. The staff were ...professional and efficient... ok a sense of humor would of been nice but this hotel is in a town in the Czech republic.
