This hotel, and it’s companion the art deco hotel across the street, have been lovingly maintained with excellent service, scrupulously, clean rooms and comfortable beds. We also loved the breakfast buffet and we ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, which was excellent and which we found to be a good value. Definitely recommend this for a stay in Prague. The only downside is that it’s not terribly close to many of the tourist sites, but Uber is easy to use here, walking is also easy unless like this week it’s in the 90s, and the tram can be found only a couple of blocks away.

We had an enjoyable stay overall and there were plenty of positives. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the room was clean and nicely presented, and although we didn’t have a view, that didn’t affect our stay. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection, was well stocked each morning, and there was plenty of choice. The staff were polite and professional throughout our stay. While nobody particularly stood out, we had no issues with the service. We also booked the hotel’s chauffeur service to and from the airport. Although it was quite expensive, it was reliable, comfortable, and our driver was lovely, so we felt it was a worthwhile convenience. There were a few things that could be improved in the room. There were no drawers for storing clothes, which made unpacking difficult. A heated towel rail would have been appreciated, the hairdryer was frustrating to use, and the bathroom door seemed to have a mind of its own and wouldn’t stay where you left it. No mirror by the table table and chair to do hair and make up, The biggest disappointment, however, was something we witnessed at breakfast on our second morning. We saw a member of the kitchen staff preparing dough, repeatedly licking dough from her fingers and eating pieces of it before putting her hands straight back into the dough she was preparing. We also noticed that the utensils and bowls she used were only wiped down rather than properly washed, and during the time we were watching, we did not see her wash her hands once after touching her mouth or fingers. This was genuinely concerning from a food hygiene perspective and unfortunately left us feeling uncomfortable for the rest of our stay. Overall, this is a lovely hotel with comfortable rooms, a great location and good breakfast, but the hygiene standards we witnessed in the kitchen were disappointing and are something that should be addressed.

“Beautiful hotel. Disturbed by noise.”

This hotel is stunning, the rooms are beautiful. Lovely large, comfortable bed. Knock on the door from staff with a complimentary bottle of Czech wine was lovely. My 3 stars were due to the noise. This hotel is stunning, the rooms are beautiful. Lovely large, comfortable bed. Knock on the door from staff with a complimentary bottle of Czech wine was lovely. My 3 stars were due to the noise. We could here a loud whirring sound until after midnight, not the actual AC in our room. Also, the cleaner started vacuuming in the next room at 8.30am which woke me and is far too early for that noise. I spoke with guest relations staff who were lovely and very apologetic. Overall it didn't ruin our stay of one night but glad I wasn't staying another night to be honest.
