A lovely hotel! It's close enough to the central hub of tourist attractions to walk/tram (tram stop right outside the hotel!), but far enough from the hubbub that it feels more relaxed. We stayed here for a birthday trip for a friend. I wrote to the hotel before we arrived asking for recommendations of things to do, which they gave a great variety of options. They also kindly included a little gift for my friend, including a hand written card - an unexpected but lovely touch. Breakfast was great - I have some limitations on what I can eat, but there was plenty of choice and more than enough for me to be able to enjoy a full breakfast to set me up for the day. I especially liked the yoghurt station with a variety of seeds & dried fruit for topping. The staff were helpful and polite throughout our stay. The room was lovely. A good sized wardrobe with plenty of space for hanging clothes, although we didn't have many hangers. As we were only visiting for 5 nights, this wasn't an issue for us but something for other travellers to bear in mind. A sewing kit & slippers were provided and they had a laundry service, though we didn't use this service so cannot comment on it. The bathroom was clean and spacious, with all the amenities provided. The beds were lovely and comfortable - especially the giant pillows, great for sitting up in bed to make it a little comfier! We also had a lovely window in our room which overlooked the seating area outside so it was nice and quiet during our stay. TV provided is decent and is a smart TV for you to log into your Disney/Amazon/Netflix accounts as desired. Overall, thrilled with our stay at Hotel Roma and would definitely consider staying here again if I'm ever lucky enough to visit Prague again!

“A wonderful experience”

The location is just off the main street for the Charles Bridge area, but it is ideal for a quieter experience. The location is just off the main street for the Charles Bridge area, but it is ideal for a quieter experience. Even so, you are never more than five minutes away from reaching the river and its bustle. There is a tram stop right outside with the airport just a £12 trip via Uber, which is much cheaper than the one offered at the desk. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. We had an air-conditioned double room which was ideal for our sons and us. Tiled floor rooms and well-maintained. The bathroom was large and clean. The rooms came with a tv, safe and fridge. Initially we hadn’t opted for a breakfast package, but changed our minds on the day…we were pleased to have done so. The breakfast was excellent with a very attentive young staff. With a vegetarian wife and two boys (15 & 10), all needs were catered for…all extremely happy with the food on offer and a bargain for the £48 it cost for all four. It filled us up for a good portion of the day. The staff at the main desk were welcoming, pleasant and helpful with a large, elegant and clean lobby feel to the place. The main entrance is closed around 10pm so you need to use the side entrance, which isn’t an inconvenience. The side door takes you down towards the river away from the busy tram main roads. At front, the number 12 and 23 trams outside take you up the road to the castle complex, if you don’t fancy the walk (plus the funicular directly oppositeis shut down at present). Make sure you buy your ticket upon getting onto the tram…a 24hr ticket (for around £3/4 is worth it)…as we saw a young lad get a very hefty on-the-spot cash fine by one of the undercover tram conductors/inspectors for not having one. You can easily buy them in the orange box attached to a pole on the tram. Our stay at the Hotel Roma was top notch and the whole experience was wonderful. Highly recommended.

“A Beautiful Stay, If You Can Sleep Through the Noise”

​The Good Stuff I really wanted to give this hotel a perfect score because there is so much to love. The location is absolutely ideal—close to everything yet tucked away enough to feel like a retreat. Our room was impressively large, spotlessly clean, and had a wonderful aesthetic that made us feel right at home. ​The Not-So-Good Stuff Unfortunately, the soundproofing (or lack thereof) was a major issue. We found it incredibly difficult to get a good night's sleep due to significant noise from both the passing trains and the guests in the room above us. We could hear every footstep and movement from upstairs, which made the nights quite disruptive. ​Verdict It’s a lovely property with a fantastic team, but if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to request a top-floor room away from the tracks. I’d love to stay here again, but only if I can guarantee a bit more peace and quiet!
