Novotel stays true to it's policy, as a family oriented correct 4 star property. Best extendable hotel sofa ever - indestructible and yet soo comfortable. Rooms are a bit too minimalist for my taste: no closet, just a bar with hangers. Loved the touchscreen room A/C controller - simple and efficient. The pool might use a little help with some chaise longues, as those regular chairs are not where they should be (this was a premiere :)) Also the rooftop bar has plenty of potential but not so many tables/sofas. Breakfast highly appreciated by the kids (waffle and pancake machines), just as the wall mounted interactive tablet, part of the kids playground area, next to the bar (good move).

We stayed her for three nights during my return to my old place of studies, Prague. All in all a good experience, but not 100%, especially due to what seems like poorly trained staff in some areas, so a weak 4*. Positives: - Clean room, upgraded, as Gold Member, to executive room with minibar included - Easy accessible by car - Indoor pool - Kid-friendly acitivites - Comfortable beds Neutral: - Breakfast has a good selection and an omelette stand, but was a complete chaos. In addition, the kids area is nearby, so don't have any illusions of a calm and quiet breakfast. Also, staff is accepting too much messing around in the buffet by kids (and even some adults) leaving open some questions about hygiene. - Quite expensive parking, but it is a city - The name Wenceslas Square, is quite misleading. The area is nice, with easy access to Metro and tram, but still... Negatives: - My wife's bikini got miscoloured, probably because of a chemical mix that has been a bit off, which can happen in pools (it turned green). Instead of reacting to us notifying them (we have both worked in the hotel industry for many years, so we've experienced this before), she was sent from person to person and after having "forced" someone to send it to the dry cleaner to try to fix it, they tried to charge us for fixing our damaged item upon check-out. Although the person checking us out waived it in the end and the bikini was somewhat better, we're still stuck with a damaged piece of clothing that we had to have all the hassle with. Never did we get to talk to a manager, so this was disappointing.

First of all, thanks to all the reception staff for excellent service. However, this time our stay came with a few disappountments. First, we chose this hotel because of rooftop terrace (closed for repairs), pool (whirlpool out of order for 2/3 days). Pavlova metro closed (repairs) and Wenceleas square a massive building site, of course Novotel cannot be blamed for that. Rooms were renovated and nice but if you need storage space there is none. Breakfast good. But for value for money I regret not having chosen the neighbouring Ibis. In this day and age of apps I would have appreciated a note on the closures.
