Pros: 1. accommodation options for more than 2 in a room. 2. Sink in room if not en-suite bath room 3. Sizeable room (accommodating 3 people wasn’t cramped) 4. Responsive by email (Julie was great) when we had questions and requests. 5. Some security—you have to walk past reception and back around to get to stairs to rooms 6. Proximity to train, metro stations. Considerations: SUMMARY: nothing that would keep me from returning. 1. No elevator 2. Pay for everything else—luggage storage, later checkout. Unlike the warm hospitality I received with Julie both by email and in person, the response I got to requesting an extra 45 minutes to check out was cold and rigid. I get it that they were probably booked out and needed to turn the rooms (it was no vacancy on my night), it was the sternness of the reply that felt uncomfortable. Not the what but the how. 3. Breakfast spread is moderate, but compared to other hotels, more modest at higher price, so we skipped. 4. Only some rooms with en-suite bathrooms. For those with shared bath, they’re all the way down the hall, only 2 each of showers and toilet rooms, in good order, shower room size fine, toilet pretty tight, and you can go to another floor if both on yours are in use. Also a consideration for those rooms on the courtyard side, lots of foot traffic back and forth of folks to get to the shared bathroom facilities. 5. It’s an older building. Charming, but also a little creaky, could hear our upstairs neighbors as they moved around. Not unlike other hotels in this sane vicinity, all in older buildings. 6. (This applies to any hotel in the area, but something to know): Tivoli does 10 minutes of fireworks at 1130pm all summer. You’ll hear it no matter where you are in the area, but if you’re facing Tivoli, at least you get a visual reward for the booming that will interrupt your sleep—and it really is pretty. This means your room is facing the street, which means you’ll also get other street sounds. Wasn’t terrible for us (even on a lovely Saturday night in summer with folks out and about), but worth knowing.

The location was pretty good - near to the main station and Metro, and was fairly easy to find. There are restaurants and bars nearby as well as a Lidl and other supermarkets. The location was pretty good - near to the main station and Metro, and was fairly easy to find. There are restaurants and bars nearby as well as a Lidl and other supermarkets. The staff were efficient on reception, the rooms and bathroom clean and big enough for our purposes. The beds were very comfortable - mwe slept very well. Breakast was available (at cost) but we didn't partake. I would have liked a kettle to be able to make a tea or coffee in the room rather than having to come down to reception to buy and make one, but that was a minor niggle.
