“Feel like a president”

The Sheraton is a five star hotel. Not the newest, but perfect for business trips and private accommodation. The personnel is extraordinary friendly and helpful. Use the front desk to organize your tourist trips or come with your own ideas. Rooms are cleaned perfectly and breakfast is stunning.

The room is okay fine, but a bit run down, needs a makeover. Hot water is not really hot, you can only with difficulties get the temperature up to 34-36 degrees, not efficient for wasting use of water. The reception tried charging me twice for the taxes, but I new I had paid taxes with Expedia, the girl said sorry, but I saw two other people checking out paying for taxes, maybe for the second time!

“Very old”

There was a very large balcony but there weren't any chairs. The room was very dated and in desperate need of a refresh. There was a very large balcony but there weren't any chairs. The room was very dated and in desperate need of a refresh. No information was provided about the restaurants hours, and although their website says there isn't room service I saw dishes outside of a few rooms. There is a pharmacy vending machine in the lobby and it has bottled water in addition to medications. I ate at the onsite restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the service was always fantastic; the food was alright. There are a few restaurants within walking distance but the hotel is on a hill, so keep that in mind.

I have been visiting this hotel for over ten years. It’s a nice, safe hotel with good food and a great pool, especially for those of us who swim laps! The main reason I have awarded the hotel with 3 stars is because ever since the COVID years the hotel has become fiesta [party] central for private poolside parties—hotel guests not invited—which means this is NOT a good, sleeping hotel. I suspect that many of the noisy party people are NOT guests IN the hotel as I have watched many people arriving at the front entrance in their suits and glittering dresses with NO luggage. Even when I managed to change my room to the street side there was still plenty of noise from the usual Latin American party scene as in “Boom..boom…boom…boom” until midnight and beyond. Guests are not notified until the day of the party with a slip of paper that management slides under the door. This is the second time my 3 day visit—an expensive one at $937!—was spoiled by loud parties on Friday AND Saturday nights…here’s a tip; don’t stay at this hotel on those nights and IF you do, bring earplugs and request a street-side, north-facing [rooms are cooler] room IF you are a light sleeper like me! Maybe you’ll get lucky and there will NOT be a privado, poolside party on Sunday night or Monday thru Thursday.

I stayed here for 4 days on a Central America trip. I have the highest Marriott status. The Good: Location is excellent with plenty of places to walk The shower pressure was strong! Breakfast was edible The Bad: The entire resort is in desperate need of a make over The pool plaster is literally peeling off everywhere The AC never got my room below 75 being on for 3 days - they looked at it and said it was operating normally The room doors slam so loud you can hear (and feel) them all the way down the floor The Exec lounge is in bad shape and had poor food offerings The pool had late night events / music past midnight that allowed for no sleep This really should be a 2 star review due to the fact I slept very little during my stay.
