“Splendid experience”

We are for the first time at Cru Hotel. Positive experience, cosy room, very peaceful. Friendly Service. Lunch at Cru restaurant: Guancia di manzo, slow-cooked beef cheek with rosemary potatoes. Tasty. Excellent service, professional and Friendly.

Absolutely amazing hotel. We stayed here on a 2 night visit to Tallinn and would highly recommend. The location is excellent. Staff were lovely. The room was unreal, the biggest bed I’ve ever seen and so clean and comfortable. It was a bit of a trek to our room but that was part of the quirkiness of this fabulous hotel. We didn’t have food in the hotel in the evening but the breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice. We did 4 cities on our European tour and this was by far our favourite hotel. Cannot recommend highly enough. The only advice would be that the rooms might not be accessible for people with mobility issues.

The only positive about Cru Hotel is the location, which is excellent. Unfortunately, everything else fell well short of expectations. Breakfast was cold, extremely limited, and basic – nowhere near what you would expect from a hotel claiming five-star status. The room itself (Room 3) was tired, poorly maintained, and frankly filthy. Loose plug fittings, curtains hanging off the rail, doors covered in grime, every wall marked, and windows screwed shut. We were a family of three staying four nights and were provided with just four hangers – completely inadequate. Noise was unbearable. We heard every single movement from the room above – taps running, footsteps, and what genuinely sounded like furniture being dragged around. Outside noise made sleep almost impossible: loud music from bars and a busker late into the night, followed by the bin lorry at 5am. It honestly felt like sleeping outdoors. There are no staff on site to ask questions or raise complaints. Everything is digital access, which was temperamental at best. Communication was minimal and unhelpful. Other guests were far more helpful than the hotel itself. Even breakfast service was unwelcoming. This hotel absolutely does not warrant a five-star rating and is massively overpriced for what you get. Our Christmas stay was meant to be a special treat and had been booked nearly a year in advance – we were gutted. The whole experience felt like Chinese torture. If you’re a recluse who doesn’t sleep and enjoys constant noise, you might love it. Otherwise, don’t waste your money. I would never recommend this hotel

“Great hotel, horrible breakfast”

Hotel was very beautiful and location was excellent. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a huge dissapointment. Selection was very small and not fresh. Wouldn't go again because of the breakfast although rest of the experience was good.
