“Nothing special about the room but excellent food”

The room has no a/c so had a fan which did the job - I don't likd a/c as its very unhealthy. And the plugs by the bed are useless - you have to move the bed to access the socket for charging. But the restaurant serves some absolutely delicious food. We got to the hotel and I was starving and it had an excellent selection (e.g. chicken in breadcrumbs) - so good I left a very positive comment in the guest book. Also very efficient hard-working restaurant staff so 4 rather than 3 stars. Think the hotel is an old commie obe where people had their state-funded holidays ... so nothing fancy - and a typical hotel on our Rainbow Tours Baltic Capitals trip.

“A cool hotel, but only 1 problem.”

The experience was very good, the staff were very nice and everything else went smoothly. But there was 1 problem. The check-in process took longer time than expected to have taken. It took like, almost 25 minutes to check-in. But other than that, everything was nice.

I came to this hotel with my daughter who is a wheelchair user. The first time I stayed at this hotel was for one day and I had extremely positive impressions. However, my second visit, which was over Christmas, lasted three days and left me with negative emotions. The first thing that disappointed me was the problem with accessibility for people with disabilities. A Christmas tree was set up in an aisle designated for wheelchair users and mothers with small children. The administration did not take any action to move it and free up the aisle, although they could have taken the initiative. Instead, they suggested I use the entrance at the back, where the hotel parking lot is and which they said was more convenient for elevator access. However, as you can see in the attached photos, this entrance is not wheelchair accessible. The hotel staff and management saw me agonizing each time to get inside the hotel with my wheelchair, but not once in three days did anyone offer me assistance. As for parking, I was given a space on request, but the next day, a little confused about the location, I parked closer to the garden to make it easier to pass with a stroller to the main entrance. The parking guard ordered me to move my car as the space belonged to the hostess of the hotel. However, during the three days of stay, not once was the hostess seen to appear. The quality of the room also left much to be desired. Although I booked a budget room again, it was in much worse condition than the previous time. Old, worn out furniture that clearly needs replacing long ago, musty smell of carpeting, and there was trash under the bed and furniture. The room is clearly in need of cosmetic repairs. It also appeared that when using the water in the shower room there was a lot of noise in the room which interfered with rest. Room cleaning was also inadequate. When asked to clean the room, the staff was limited to only replacing the trash bag in the hamper and changing towels. Used diapers left next to the hamper were left untouched, dirty glasses were not put away and the bed was also not made. Three receptionists changed during the three day stay. Most of them were unfriendly except for one older woman who left a positive impression. Both rooms I stayed in lacked ventilation, which made it uncomfortable. As for the breakfasts, overall they were plentiful and good, but for a short stay. Would have liked more variety, such as alternating types of porridge, as all three days only oatmeal was offered. It would also be worth reducing the range of canned fish from herring and herring and adding something new to the menu. In conclusion, unfortunately my second visit to Hotel Dzingel was an extremely disappointing and unpleasant experience, leaving me feeling completely disillusioned. Especially depressing is the indifference to the problems of accessibility for people with disabilities, the poor quality of the rooms and the formal and sometimes even rude attitude of the staff. We, as guests from Finland, expected a much more attentive and respectful approach, but, alas, we encountered a complete lack of care and understanding on the part of the hotel. This attitude to customers is unacceptable and we are extremely saddened by this experience.

“Not for me , thumbs down”

The hotel is very old and the room was falling apart. There are no extra things in the room just the minimum. Even the toiletries is only one small soap and one small shampoo in a bag. I didn’t know that this still existed. Ok this was fine for showering twice. The smell in the bed is disgusting. Everything smelled like old men sweat definitely not fresh and it is so very unpleasant. The breakfast is ok but not more . You can find a piece of bread. The atmosphere all together is the one that I personally don’t like. Smelly, people smoking in front of the entrance, people talking very loud . All together no I will not stay here again.
