“1 night accomodation. Great place.”

Good location, in the centre. Beautiful views from the room in the new part of the hotel on the top floor. No noise from neighbors or outside. Good breakfast.

Paid about 100€ (per person) for three nights at Viru Hotel. Breakfast and daily room cleaning (if needed) were also included in the price. Hotel is located next to Viru Keskus, which offers a variety of restaurants, shops and services. Many other fun places located within a kilometer radius. Only complaint is that the first room we got had a strange smell, and we had to change our room. Changing rooms went smoothly and easily though. Very solid hotel for a very solid price.

I stayed here solo for four nights in a Standard Room in April 2025. The hotel is very conveniently located, just outside the Old Town border, adjacent to Viru Keskus shopping mall, and a short walk from the main bus and train station. The room furnishings have an authentic 1970s quality: a large semi-circular desk built into the wall and two oversized, surprisingly comfortable chairs. There is a small refrigerator, which I used for snacks and groceries. There is no in-room safe, which is worth knowing before you arrive. The main draw is the KGB Museum on the 23rd floor. I was not informed of any guest discounts at check-in and was directed to book online independently. It is worth asking about at the front desk if you're interested. With over 500 rooms and a conference centre operation, the hotel felt quite impersonal. You can hear other guests in the hallways, and breakfast functions more like a busy cafeteria than a hotel dining room, although the selection itself is decent, with a solid spread of American and English breakfast items. The gym is notably small relative to the size of the hotel, and the equipment is outdated (e.g. the treadmill belt was so worn that I didn't feel safe running on it; you are better off going outside). Overall, I would rate this a 3 to 3.5 out of 5. The 4-star designation oversells it. If you stay here, then you are staying for the Cold War atmosphere and the location, not for the amenities or service.

Nice with direct access to shoppingcenter. The breakfast is absolutely minimum of what you expect from this type of hotel. Not Scandinavian standard at least. No real juice, and that is strange.
