“Great place to access Liverpool ”

Booked a double room for 1 night, Saturday 20/4/24 to Sunday 21/4/24 with breakfast (extra cost). Arrived late afternoon and found plenty of parking and disabled parking at the entrance. The path at the disabled parking bays is uneven with loose flag stones so I would advice sticking to the tarmac surfaced car park if you have mobility problems. Entering the hotel you have a spacious lounge area to the left, a seating area to the left of reception both with large tv screens and the restaurant to the rear. The reception desk is immediately in front of you and the stairs and lift are to your right. At the stairs you will find vending machines and local attractions leaflets. Booking in was very straightforward and the staff are friendly and helpful. The lift and corridors are clean and smell fresh and the room signs relatively easy to read. The room is accessed with a key card that then has to be put in a slot on the wall to activate the lights. The room was very spacious and had a walk in shower, double bed, TV and tea and coffee. It also had a door to the adjoining room if you needed 2 rooms, very helpful for families. The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. The sofa in the room was nice although it was difficult to see the TV. The shower was easy to operate, had good pressure and featured an adjustable shower head. During the late evening, around 10pm to 11.30pm you could hear people running along the corridor, talking and watching tv but that is nothing against the hotel. Breakfast was a buffet style lay out with a minimum choice. Some cereal, pastries, toast, scrambled egg, beans, mushrooms, sausage and bacon. No options for anything else was given. The tea and coffee was from 2 machines in the same area. Unfortunately I was a bit unimpressed with the breakfast. The sausages, bacon and mushrooms had dried out in the hot plates. The scrambled egg was like rubber and the beans had excessive juice but it was all edible, although I did give the scrambled egg a miss. I would of liked fried eggs or poached. All together this is a lovely hotel, with wonderful staff, good facilities and easy to find with links to the M57 and A580 into Liverpool. I would highly recommend this place
