It was my first time in Turku, and Bob W raised a high bar. It is a super central location and, at the same time, quiet inside. Spacious apartment with fully equipped kitchen so you can stay here for a week or two. Walking distance to the central market, grocery stores, restaurants, and lovely cafes. I loved the personal touch - handwritten cards, chocolate, specialty coffee, and refreshing local soft drinks. And all those unique details - instax camera, tote bag, cards, stickers. You need to stay there to experience the amazing smells of bathroom amenities they offer to guests.

“Very practical hotel, suberb location, everything works”

Perfect location, right in the middle of the Market Square and Turku City center. Easy to get in with the code. Clean room, good bed, reasonable price. Easy to park your car to the Toriparkki for 24 euros a day.

This is apartment style rooms and I stayed in 2 versions: the triple studio & the “superior studio” (I believe that is what Booking.com calls the room) The triple studio has a kitchenette without a sink nor stove, but it is bigger than the double bed studio and has a bigger shower. If you don’t cook or only need the microwave than the triple is fine. I do cook with a stove so I did move to the one with a stove and kitchen sink. The rooms come with complimentary coffee which is locally roasted… it is SOOO good and I recommend you try it! They also come with cute complimentary stickers and a little Turku canvas bag. They also provide USB cables and europe converter adapters which was very helpful. Other pros: room was clean, AC, blackout curtains, location location! (Right on the Market Square and in front of the bus stop) The reason why I gave 4 stars - not 5… 1. I understand the Bob W brand is contactless, ie: no front desk, but I travel often and the fact the only option to check in is via WhatsApp could be problematic to some travelers (for me I always use WhatsApp but for instance my parents do not and would have been confused) 2. The entrance looks like a 1980s public school hallway. They should really paint the entrance and foyer or put nice wallpaper m. I was ready to write off the place when I saw the hallway. 3. The elevator is very tiny and there is only one that can fit 3-4 people or 2 with suitcases - being here in early July when the aparthotel is filled with tourists - most the guests including myself took the stairs when we didn’t have our suitcases. I cannot front the establishment for a small elevator but it’s something to be aware of. 4. I was nervous about not having a place to store my bag (since there isn’t a front desk) and even asked customer service about it - it wasn’t until I checked out I saw a sign there was lockers on the top floor (I didn’t get a chance to check it out bc I wasn’t sure if my code would still work to get in front door if I left my luggage upstairs… this is the downside of not having staff on the property) 5. It would be nice if they provided olive oil (one filled in a spout) as I’ve seen other aparthotels do.

“This Should Be A Bad Review But ISN'T ”

My daughter booked is in to Bob W in Turku into what was supposed to be a triple superior room. What we initially received was a double room for three people. My daughter booked is in to Bob W in Turku into what was supposed to be a triple superior room. What we initially received was a double room for three people. The booking was made through Booking.Com with a second registration on Bob W. It was this two-step process that seems to have gone wrong. On attempting to contact someone, we were initially met with the standard automated response of there is nothing we can do go away. Not one for taking no for an answer after a 90 minute to and fro we got a knock on the door and a young lady with sheets in arms came in to make up a non existent extra bed. This lovely young lady was Lovisa from Sweden and she changed our whole perspective on "contactless" hotels. She was a delight and was embarrassed to find us in our predicament. Went to great lengths to ensure our stay was worthwhile and after bringing us to a bigger room and realising the camp bed was broken that she was so admirably trying to fix finally off her own bat upgraded us to a suite. So once the contactless element was removed our minds were changed because Lovisa was so good and kind and apologetic., even explaining how they were having difficulties with Booking.Com and how Bob W in Turku was a new facility and were having teething problems and they were aware. So this should be a bad review but isn't. It isn't because of Lovisa and her lovely Swedish N'aer say die attitude. As for the apartments themselves they are top of the range, and were spotlessly clean and Thank you to Lovisa for her kindness and warmth, making our stay so much better.
