This was our second stay at Lapland Saaga and we loved every minute. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the ski slopes, and really enjoyed the sauna and large living space. It was also handy being on top of the restaurants and slopes, as we did some skiing. The apartments are about a 5 minute walk from the main hotel which can be slightly annoying as walking back and forth in such extreme weathers is a bit of an effort. Another family asked to move back to the main hotel as they felt a bit “out of the way.” However, we mostly enjoyed the separation. We did have to pay a fee to use the swimming pool and spa because of staying outside of the main hotel which felt a little unfair. The food was fresh and varied enough. The games room needs an update. On the whole, a wonderful trip to a beautiful part of the world.

What a holiday! We came with Tui just me and my 7 year old son on a B&B board basis. Loved the hotel great location next to everything in the tiny village - couple of restaurants/pub, fast food burger place, etc all across from the hotel - so easy. Slopes, hire of equipment (skis), use of Gondola, family sledging park all close by - 5 min walk across the carpark. All woodland around hotel. The hotel is really welcoming - nice bar and reception area with fireplace. We booked an apartment as we thought a sauna would be nice after a cold day out. Note the apartments are a 5-10 minute walk through the walkways. It took us 2 days to get used to the route from reception, seemed like a maze. Breakfast was great - everything you could need, the usual Sausages Bacon scrambled eggs pancakes etc cereals. We tried the buffet one evening which was nice too. Lots of food to choose from although a little pricey. The food we ate at the Tui finale evening was so good. So much to choose from and tasted great and presented well. We found Georgios (the greek man) in the bar/restaurant so welcoming and friendly - where ever we seem to travel we always seem to find Greeks :-) Our room one bedroom apartment was spotless and quiet - it had everything you needed if you wanted to take food to cook or warm up - all really clean. Sauna was like brand new. Grateful the previous person left their ski/slope cards for us - so I left them for the next family as you can reuse them. We didnt use the swimming pool at the hotel but it does look nice. Aside from Ice Village with Tui we didnt venture out. We hired ski's and never came off the slopes - as first timers skiing and now hooked. We also loved the sledging and tubing tracks - so much fun. Our experience at Snow Village was great with the husky taster sessions - Santa was magical. The elves were super friendly and made the experience even more magical. Would love to return to Yllas as it is a great little place even for skiing and great for beginners too - we had a ski lesson. We were there for New Years and the fire works at midnight were fabulous. We also took the gondola up to the top for the views. Saw the Northern lights in the car park of hotel and at the back of our apartment. What a trip - it was the dream holiday and definitely recommend the hotel and Yllas as a location for families and friends. I have told my son we will return. thank you Toulla and Andreas x

“Amazing magical holiday”

We had a amazing time at this hotel and 100% be back Rooms were clean tidy and very warm The food was lovely we went half board The location was perfect We used the pool the last day and didnt find it cold Would highly recomend

Great location for all things Lapland! Great amenities nearby with the ski slopes, play areas and other places to visit. Great location for all things Lapland! Great amenities nearby with the ski slopes, play areas and other places to visit. Food was great - we stayed half board and was plenty, didn't need lunch, even for the kids! Didn't try pool and spa but a few people we spoke to said the water was cold! We stayed in a 2 bed apartment - slightly away from the hotel but was great to have lots of space, the sauna and drying cabinet.
